Not in the mood to deal with spastics like you today. Keep on posting dull inane shite and I'll ban you.

Well, so much for my foray to a place that's supposed to be the 'grown up place' where you can have an actual debate without getting shut down.

Much love.

Bye.

Well, if I may, without getting FO as well, bearing in mind I'm no expert so the following is based solely on my perceptions, right or wrong.

1) DC went for the cheap option, finally realised he'd messed up and he needed to spend some bigger dosh.

2) The evidence of Xiscos shortcoming were there for all to see during pre season, I just told myself, ah, its preseason it was sure to improve. It never did.

3) He seemed to have a strategy of let them have the ball so we can get it back off or them. WTF was all that about?😂

4) I sensed, rightly or wrongly that he split the camp between new and old, I could be way out. DR won't have that, they all start on a level playing field.

5) Anyone thinking that XM and DR are similar in anyway...... well I just don't see it. Everyones been harping on about the strikers not scoring but the fact is we just haven't been producing chances, and that wasn't just XM either, we struggled at times under DM last season. That has recently changed under DR, hope it isn't just a flash in the pan but we finally are looking like we can link the rest of the team to the strikers and thats down to DR and his team.

6) The Neymarv situation just wasn't managed correctly, I reckon Munoz knew he'd messed up but there was no way to return Johnson without looking a dick, then there was also the Derby loan deal as well.

7) Trying to make a case for XM is akin to trying to polish a turd surely, nice enough bloke but just not good enough.

😎 Nice enough bloke, glad to see the back of him, should have been sooner. Might get a job in the third tier of the Cypriot league.

9) Am I in the right thread or am I way off topic?😀

10) Edit-we should be talking about when our bad luck and/or bad decisions against us level themselves up. Mods please remove my post.

@Snap - yes we should have let MJ go to Derby if the alleged offer was to pay his wages in full.

Well I'd agree with you Teddy, we should have let him go if we weren't going to play him. I've had a few pops at Marvin but mainly about his lack of pace and ability to get past his man,I know it's not his fault and he'd probably be playing elsewhere if he could. His crossing of a ball is up there with the best, certainly from the LHS anyway. The best play for Johnson is when he steels a yard and Bannan puts him through. Finished up Munoz just deprived us of a supply line to the strikers.

Then sticking Delgado on the left just confused me altogether, not hard I know. What was he trying to do? Play the right footed Delgado on the left and the left footed Johnson on the right and was that where the fall out come. Or was Delgado played on the left because he'd fell out with Johnson. Still no wiser.

Seem to remember that Johnson did have a go on the right in Spain, I think. Maybe he came off and told Xisco never again.

Is Delgado injured? If memory serves me well, he’s not featured at all since DR arrived, which is some contrast to when the previous manager was selecting the team. I never was that impressed with him, apart from the odd good run, with no end product.

I think he was and missed the international call up. We don't appear to have heard anything about him since. Was him and Xisco too close? Just seemed a bit too convenient at the time, did he get injured before or after Xisco got the sack. I'm sure yes we crann will be all over it at this weeks press conference. On second thoughts he's probably forgot about him.

Just had a check, Xisco announced as saked on 4th Oct and Delgado withdrew from international duty on 11th Oct. Not heard of since as far as I know.

Xisco the cheap option? Don't think he was cheaper than Röhl

You could be right, I don't know. I wasn't just thinking about the manager though, I was thinking about his whole team including any compensation paid.

Agree with all that and I'd hazard a guess that your thought on what caused the rift is likely close to the truth. FWIW I think that if MJ drastically overstepped the mark then Xisco was right to ostracise him and set a benchmark. Not to move him on and save his wages was bizarre though.

I look at the promise and pace of Musaba, Gassama and maybe a couple of the other youngsters though and only see limited appearances for MJ notwithstanding his undoubted crossing ability. Could well see him finally moving on in January along with the bulk of the loanees.

Yes, they look great don't they, such a shame we're so on the back foot, so wish we'd got Rohl instead of Xisco at the start of the season.

Would you know if we've released Boracic Lint to Derby or not? We may see him training in Dubai before long.😂

Yes Röhl was my preference from the names mentioned in the summer. Just preferred someone on the way up rather than the other way. Most exciting appointment since Ron IMO.

I think BL just dug a trench and defended it - no surrender!

You're a better man than me mate, I can't remember hearing about him previously but I don't tend to venture far from the Owls when I'm after my football news. I had heard of Munoz though, I remembered him from Watford.

At WBA, when he stopped giving a fuck and put out a team that was more 'his', even without Bannan and Windass was much better than the few games previous, and a bit like Saturday, played 20 minutes with 10 men and nearly got a result against a team better than anything we've played since. So some of the improvement was already there.

Without being disrespectful but if you think the WBA game was an improvement, that's a little concerning

We were absolutely shocking in that game. It was only 1-0 because West Bromwich Albion treated it like a training game after taking the lead. Had they bothered to get out of 2nd gear (if they got to that), it would have been 3 or 4-0.

28% possession, 1 wayward shot in the 2nd half when we were trailing, it was awful. Worse than any of the games watched under Tony Pulis, Alan Irvine or Jos Luhakay

When the dust settled a bit and the usuals were eliminated, the likes of Lachini cropped up. There was another guy mooted whose name Ive forgotten.  Also Röhl  and obviously Munoz. Both interviewed apparently. Rohl was then second in command with the German national team which may have stymied things; or perhaps  DC just preferred Munoz. All subject to my less than perfect old memory!!
