jon_OwlSwfc
Can Wednesday stay up? I know mathematically its possible and I know there's plenty of games left, but can the lads do it? What's everyone think?
Neville Facking Bartos
Of course we can. ‘Will we?’ Is harder to answer as currently we’re not getting the rub of the green
Snap
I think we can and I think we will based on recent performances. We're around a third of the way through the season and we'll be needing around 48 points, so a third of that is 16 points and we currently have 6. So we're around 10 points behind where we should be and we need another 42. We should have around 15 home games and we need to win 10 of them, as per DR saying we need a fortress. That puts us on 36 points so we'll have to pick up 12 points from the other 5 home games that aren't included in the ten home wins and around 15/16 away games. Absolutely doable, but only just, there's some tough games to come though and we also need to make good use of the January transfer window. All those figures are approximations, the 48 points is based on the table below, hope it isn't 52 points we need though or we're down.😂

Snap
Just had another look at that table, Peterborough relegated on 54 points in 2012/13. Bet they were screaming.

Year they thought they were safe after beating us 1-0 in their last home game, invaded pitch and then went down anyway 😂

Boracic Lint
Absolutely. We just need to finish above 3 teams. We've played 10 of the top 12 but only 5 of the bottom half. QPR, Rotherham and 1 other. 7 of Huddersfield's 15 points have come from the bottom 3 clubs, they're catchable. There will probably be at least one club with a points deduction too. Cocky sods. It's not like them to assume things, is it? Like producing Playoff Final flags before the semi second leg...

mkowl
What we need to do is to have made up the points gap by 30 games gone or near as damn it. I just think if you can drag a lot other sides into it the better and also give you a 2nd chance should you hit another bad run Will we, the lack of a proper Championship standard striker I worry will be telling
Billysboy
Solve the goal scoring issue yes, if not we're fucked.
Hirstys 12th Pint
Looking at the fixtures December is a huge Month. Good December and we can do it.
owl71
I said on another thread that I wouldn’t be worried if we had an extra five points. We need mid table form for the rest of the season to stay up. At the moment we’re producing lower mid table performances. We’re definitely improving but we do need some wins fairly quickly. What could change the equation is other club’s finances. With QPR and Toytown both looking fairly awful, if one other team were to get a points deduction then low forties might just be enough.
