  1. That was me. I just had a dream the other night where it was 6-0. Mind you I had a dream last night where Chansiri had sacked Rohl and announced it the morning of the game… so a) I would prefer to be completely wrong on both counts and b) I need to get out more 😂
  2. Such an incredible job he’s done. Especially considering that he inherited that team unfit with zero confidence. I know we’re not over the line yet but if we get there - and there’s no summer bullshit - and we get a Danny Rohl and co full pre-season, with his signings. Every reason to be excited about next season.
  3. I agree to an extent - and of course points on the board is all that matters, so dropping two is shit. GD aside, we’ve got ourselves into a position where we only have to be better than two of, realistically, 4 teams (Blackburn included) now. This year we have comfortably been in better form than all 4, and we’re still on the up under Rohl, the other four are on downward trajectories under their medley of managers (none of whom I’d rather have at the helm) Long way to go, and I’d very much rather it didn’t go down to the wire, but personally I’d rather be us than any of them right now.
  4. Point gained on those above though. As much as three would’ve been better. Honestly prefer that QPR win to a draw. QPR were never going down. We’ve just got to win more of the last 7 than two of Huddersfield, Birmingham or Plymouth. I think we will.
  5. 19 points off the play-offs. It’s on. All seriousness though I couldn’t bring myself to look at the table past few weeks. Didn’t actually realise the gap to the sides above the bottom 4 had shrunk so much. I honestly thought we were on an island of four for survival. (probably should’ve fucking looked would’ve made me less of a miserable sod the past week) 6 points off 19th now. That’s doable Yeah others have games in hand, shit squad blah blah all that. But we had to win that and we did. We can do this.
  6. I know one result doesn’t relegate a team but fuck me we tried our best to change that. The only consolation is that is rock fucking bottom. There has to be a reaction after that. and not in the fucking cup ffs
  7. Sorry for making you spell that out. You’re quite right, and in the cold light of day it isn’t that hard to understand 😂
  8. 6 surely? The point we earned v leicester, the 2 extra points we confirmed v Blackburn, and the 3 we earned today? … I may have read this wrong 😂 I’ve had a few. Either way Danny Rohl is the fucking man, scoring late goals is always a sign of a team with belief. Can’t wait for the next two transfer windows.
  9. Star bending space time there - playing Birmingham next weekend but got a fortnight first. Didn’t realise we had Birmingham next though. Big opportunity for a win considering the spiral they’re in.
  10. Even more so when you consider they aren’t even our only relegations in that time 🥲 Oh I remember cringing at that in a london pub with a load of Peterboro fans… making quite the habit of prematurely celebrating against us aren’t they? 😂
  11. You’re not wrong. I really don’t think Rohl (et al) would be here if he didn’t think he could polish it though. That’d be interesting, have we ever seen Pato up top in the middle before? (Saying that, not sure there’s a position he hasn’t played in for us)
  12. Guessing that’s Pato and Valentin as wing backs, Windass and Musaba up top? Also presuming Ihiekwe has a knock, would’ve preferred him between Famewo and Iorfa. Can see why Bernard’s been rested. Looks to me like a side set up to hit on the counter, playing it on the floor. Hendrick is odd one for me but feel like we’ve not seen the best out of any of the new lads yet. Anyway I know fuck all, let’s just hope for an improvement.
  13. Dawson Valentin - Bernard - Ihiekwe - James Byers - Bannan Windass Musaba - Smith - Gassama
  14. I think it’s a genuine question. Whatever it is I’m loving it, but we’ve gone from a journeyman bloke who was sacked from a team in Cyprus, who’s coaching staff included his brother, to a coaching set up that wouldn’t be out of place at a club in the premier league… All whilst being bottom of the championship without a win, apparently not a pot to piss in and an owner who was so ‘toxic’ no manager would want to work for him? The club is also on a charm offensive with these interviews - all of them are golden and the noise coming out of the club is incredibly positive all of a sudden. Either Chansiri has really pulled his finger out and changed a lot… (and if it all goes right he deserves a lot of credit) Or, genuinely, there’s more to all this RB connection than just personal/ professional coach relationships and something is quietly brewing… But yeah, I’m fucking loving it either way. Really hope we get a win on Saturday, just to really get the momentum going.
  15. I don’t actually know what either of them look like. Best part of this comment is I still don’t know which is which 😂
  16. Oh I know why they do it in that sense. But it’s a cycle they could choose to break if they had any integrity about them. The choosing to eek out a living feeding off of the negativity is the part I’ll never understand.
  17. Appreciate you taking the time to dig on this. Awful what the guy’s been through with his daughter. The only article doing the rounds on the swfc hashtag (I know, I know) is that appalling YorkshireLive one that makes him sound utterly shite and picked a pretty unflattering pic of him to boot. (Not a dig at Hoyland for sharing that here either btw - it literally does make him out to be Xisco 2.0 and I was glum whilst reading it and didn’t fancy reading further) A quick google sees plenty more articles, not local, with a way more positive outlook on him in general, on him being linked with us, and on him being linked with other champ teams over the summer. I’m not saying he’s my number 1 choice or anything. But now I’d be less pissed off if it happened, versus how I felt after that first article. Probably all moot as it could be anyone that gets the job. But will never understand why our local press are such a bunch of doom merchants and sh*t stirring c*nts.
  18. Just relieved to be honest. I really wanted to like Xisco at the start but he was almost comically abysmal by the end. Genuinely wouldn’t have won all season with him in charge I don’t care who’s next. I’d be fine with Thompson for the rest of the season tbh. It really can’t get any worse. (Except for maybe Bullen) Are we still a big enough draw to get a decent manager in with our tantrum throwing chairman? Be interesting to see how much industry damage chansiri’s done to his own rep over the last 4 months. and by interesting I probably mean excruciating.
  19. In Xisco’s defence (and I don’t say that lightly) perhaps he’d identified this as a must/ more likely win and kept his powder dry on Sat accordingly? Encouraging to see both young pacy lads in the bench, hopefully implies we’ll go for it if we need to. Why I feel apathy right up until the hour before kick off and then I’m suddenly unreasonably optimistic I’ll never know. Got to win tonight though. Otherwise XM needs to get gone. Praying for attacking football.
  20. Darren Moore speaks on why he left Wednesday Sky got it in for us this season. My only surprise is it wasn’t released Friday night before the game. It’s getting boring now. Sooner Wednesday start winning, sooner we can move on from it. But cranks up the pressure for Saturday.
