Paul from Wisewood
16 minutes ago, mkowlthesexynewversion said: Do I wait and get 3 days before the play offs though Exactly, unless you’re going to go to over 10 games a season it’s absolutely pointless.. and then they make it even less worthwhile by allowing anyone to purchase and jump the queue when we get to a play off final
holmesfield_owl
Tickets made general sale so aside from the club making more money then what did people gain
Andyben
Club making more money? No offence intended @holmesfield_owlbut that's the typical Wenzdi fan attitude that needs to change. Fans who can't afford or justify a season ticket or simply join as a way of helping the club pay it's bills? Or like I did sign my son up as a way of keeping a link between the club and fans who can't go to matches as they live overseas. Its only a fucking quid a week for adults. 2

mkowlthesexynewversion
Tbf as Andyben rightly says i look at the bigger picture so I will still get a membership (at the start of the season as well). I might not even get value out of it vis a vis saving on match day tickets purchased, but I look at my overall perceived value. But the flip side of that coin is the Club itself as now undervalued this by permitting folk to queue jump by purchasing one last minute. Andyben
I guarantee that won't happen again. There'll be a cut off

There'll be a cut off Whilst I understood the Club made a bit of dosh by permitting it I thought it was poor practice really. Basically if you want to attract the 2nd tier of fans to sign up, it has to be beneficial value wise but it has to have a degree of exclusivity. Those benefits shouldn't be able to be side swiped last minute

Get where your coming from, but it’s Sheffield not Monte Carlo Your average Wenzi fan ain’t going to spend £50 to help the club pay its bills or as a way of keeping a link
M42Owl
What really irritates me is that members get a SWFC Christmas card, whereas mere season ticket holders are taken for granted. And the birthday party discount could pay for the membership alone.

Do you think Wednesday fans or the average one would throw in a quid or two per month to help?
Paul from Wisewood
I’d chuck a few quid in to get you some new clobber 😀

holmesfield_owl
I agree there should be a cut off no issue with that. I'm getting a membership because I don't want to go to every match, it's put extra cash in and every bit helps.
Paul from Wisewood
They could apply tpp to membership
80s Owl
I have bought memberships in the past and got my money's worth, it also gives you that added reassurance of getting a ticket for bigger games, was it 30 quid last season though? Allowing people to apply for them for the play off was a bit of a shameless cash grab to be fair.

Reesh
Given the price of STs £50 is standard and with the discounts offered make sense if you cannot commit to an ST. But Wednesday fans again wanting summat for nowt hence wanting cheap prices.

I ponder how many who rushed to get their ticket priority pass - sorry membership in late May this year, will presumably now be front of the queue for 2023/24 memberships. Seems those who do the equations for the cost / benefit exercise in August suddenly changed the formula

I think in the current climate and for what you get the price is fair and reasonable
Hirstys 12th Pint
Looks a decent deal to me as an alternative to a season ticket if missing a few games. I was annoyed at myself for not getting my Daughter one last year as she ended up going to about 17 games. Honestly thought she would lose interest so never considered one. She has her first ST this year. She has never seen us lose despite going to probably 30 games last few years !
