Had a good season but this epitomises our season in some ways that our 'utility' defender has swept the board, and not one of our more attacking players.  

Still hold him responsible for starting the shit run with the first goal at Barnsley.

I was in the stand behind the dugouts last night and Palmer kept being told to stand deeper by the coaching staff. It was as if he wasn’t allowed over the half way line. Palmer was (rightly IMO) arguing that this was leaving acres of space in front of him for their LCB and LB to do what they wanted. Paterson wasn’t getting near them, Smith either. They mauled us from that side but I don’t blame Palmer.

When he started making surging runs through the middle, that was important that was, what with several being hardly able to run by then.
