HoylandOwl
While I get he's not Roberto Carlos, he's had a very good season and he's deserved his awards.

Hirstys 12th Pint
Had a good season but this epitomises our season in some ways that our 'utility' defender has swept the board, and not one of our more attacking players. Still hold him responsible for starting the shit run with the first goal at Barnsley.

Tank_Owl2,0
Palmer deserves it but it’s like when Atherton won it, ie indicates as other have said we have been workmanlike/ pragmatic for large parts of the campaign
Neville Facking Bartos
It’s like nothing of the sort, Palmer has been very attacking minded, and scored the most he has ever in a single season.

Supercockle
19 minutes ago, Andyben said: Just the three goals from his side last night then... I was in the stand behind the dugouts last night and Palmer kept being told to stand deeper by the coaching staff. It was as if he wasn’t allowed over the half way line. Palmer was (rightly IMO) arguing that this was leaving acres of space in front of him for their LCB and LB to do what they wanted. Paterson wasn’t getting near them, Smith either. They mauled us from that side but I don’t blame Palmer.

Southy_SWFC
I had a feeling all game that Palmer was going to have a say in the outcome today. So pleased for the lad.

When he started making surging runs through the middle, that was important that was, what with several being hardly able to run by then.
