Let's be wise tomorrow - Morecambe match thread.

He might tweak it a bit.

I can see Famewo being rested, Hunt coming in, and perhaps Smith being rested for Gregory. He might also leave out one or even two of the midfield three and bring in Adeniran and Bakinson or Dele. If he does, one of Byers or Bannan has to play.

We should have enough with the squad we have.

Flint was rested last midweek. Could he be given another break, perhaps as sub?
What about Iorfa? Seen a few comments that he was struggling at Ipswich.
If both are out, the defence is looking weak.

Without risking players that are carrying a minor issue, I think we should play our best 11. We don’t want to risk dropping stupid points against Morecambe or MK.

We need to play our best team in every game

Talk of resting players at this crucial stage of the season is ridiculous

Although I wouldn’t put the ridiculous past DM

Agreed make sure you win the game and then rest players the last 20 - 25

Underestimating the opposition either by the players, or indeed the supporters is where we will fuck up

It's not like we are regularly in that position these last couple of months

Morecambe gaffer bemoans wage gap in League One.

Getting his excuses ready.....

It's a totally different perspective of expectation between Morecambe and the clubs mentioned in the article.

These types of games are 'gimmies' for Morecambe. There's no expectation to win from fans or owners. Just put on a good show, give it your best, and try not to get hammered. But it's the opposite for the likes of Ipswich, Plymouth, Derby, and us.

All Adams has to do is win the games against the teams around him and stay in the division. So talk of transfer fees and wages is relevant to position and achievement.

Some crazy scores in their last 5 league games

Morecambe 1 - 1 FGR

Derby 5 - 0 Morecambe

Morecambe 5-1 Bristol Rovers

Ipswich 4 - Morecambe 0

Morecambe 2 -1 Cheltenham

Morecambe 5 - 0 Burton

We aspire to be above Ipswich and Derby, going on those very recent results, something similar later wouldn't really be great. Having said all that, if I had the choice between playing out the game to see what happened or a guaranteed 1-0 I'd probably take the latter for no other reason that at some point we're going to lose and this wouldn't be a good one to do it against after a good four point haul.

Ill go for a largely forgettable 2-0 win and hopefully Plymouth drop points.

The club are extremely disappointed to report that objects were thrown towards the field of play during our last two home games against Fleetwood Town and Plymouth Argyle.

We would stress in the strictest tone that any individual proven to have perpetrated such an act is a fucking moron

4-3-1-2 with Bannan operating behind the front two.

No recognised front player on the bench again. On paper this should have been the ideal game to at least put Cadamarteri on the bench.

Very surprised at the lack of a striker on the bench.

Hopefully a 3-0 win, Windass, Smith & Johnson on the scoresheet.

One hell of a stroll that first half.

What a start it was... Great finish from Bannan after great build up from Byers providing the cross.

Morecambe are shite. We're top of the league again.... That's all. 🙂

They certainly are away!

full time would be nice right now, especially with Ipswich only drawing too

Full time would would be tremendous at this point, but...

To be fair, we have to give them a chance to score again...
