That would be fun trying to park anywhere near the city centre, Sheffield City Council are well known for their positivity toward car use.

Exactly. Castle area would be relatively easy to access by public transport - though I'm not sure about overall numbers - but absolute hell to get to by car.  And that's being dropped off, never mind trying to park.

Nobody proposing we move has actually suggested anywhere. So unless they can then it's a pointless to suggest doing so

Err not been ere long have you.

Ideal place is in A1/M1/M18 triangle, decent road access, plenty land to develop 50-60k PL and UEFA/FIFA compliant stadium with full sports /education centre (nick the EIS or make it a speciist sports tertiary  educational establishment like Loughborough), retail park, hotels and stuff. Keep donny airport going, must be a train line we can develop a station, make it the pinnacle of sports entertainment in the North.

Go back to being  The Wednesday FC.

Fresh start.

Move on

Progress

Where exactly do the A1 / M1 / M18 form a triangle?  The A1 & M1 are roughly parallel.

looking at Google Maps,

Castle Market area is smaller than Hillsborough as a footprint. Unless we build up and have a ground on stilts in the air.

Have an under stilts car park

Still always think the area to the north of Meadowhall, runs parallel to the M1, where the big cranes are located would be half decent. Tram goes there, rail links, bus interchange, improve the access off the M1, plenty of land

The back road to Ecclesfield.  Isn't there a river down there, too?  Presumably smaller.

Just looked: Blackburn Brook.  With our luck we'd get sued by Rovers.

The point is every site, including Hillsborough, as various pros and cons to it

I suspect the cost of upgrading the stadium wouldn't be that much cheaper to building a new one. Notwithstanding that you can keep playing at one whilst building the new one. One of the fundamental issues is that the past upgrades of the stands have been a bit of a dogs dinner.

One in the eye to those saying we should build a small bowl somewhere.

Shame we've got restrictions on the ground to not get more in.
