  1. To be fair they’ve played through a lot of side this season. We need points, we have to go for it. I understand the formation and setup tonight. Our season won’t be defined on how we play against Leicester and I think that no matter what side we put out tonight we would have struggled to get anything. Sometimes you just have to admit the opposition is better than us - and Leicester are most definitely one of those sides.
  2. From “Wise” wood are you? 😂 I think “Dumbarton” (emphasis on the “dumb”) is calling out for a new resident! 🤪
  3. Been a more solid second half display this. Hopefully it will restore some confidence in the players. Nice to now hear the supporters singing DR’s game. The leaflet distributing muppets must be gutted at SWFC spoiling their big night! 😂
  4. “Where’s yer leaflets gone, where’s yer leaflets gone”
  5. Now rip them fucking leaflets up and chuck em abart like confetti!
  6. Just imagine what it will look like if Brum get an early goal!
  7. Saw that and just shook my head in disbelief. 31 targets, but he couldn’t/didn’t name a single one!
  8. I look at this and last season a bit differently, with another factor to take into account. This time last season the club was in a good position and looking a strong bet for automatic promotion (didn’t we go top of the league around this time?). With that in mind the decision to renew season tickets at this time of year was a bit of a no brainer, as the worst case and unlikely scenario was that we’d remain a League 1 club. This season, we’ve probably got supporters sitting on the fence just now, waiting to see what division we are in before making a decision to renew (or not), and therefore deciding against taking the early bird offer. I have to admit I was impressed with the announcement that over 10k supporters have already renewed their season tickets - that's absolutely phenomenal support!
  9. I agree and not for one minute am I saying I support protesting against Chansiri. But for some reason, when listening to Radio Sheffield and reading posts on Twitter etc. the mood against DC does seem to be changing, and not in a positive manner.
  10. You asked about other Chairmen at the club making statements, so I responded on that, hence the long winded reply. I think a lack of direction/leadership and not having a medium to long term plan/strategy are issues with the club and have been for several years. We coast as a club (hence yo-yoing between leagues) because we have had poor direction and leadership, alongside poor decision making, and I no longer see or understand what Chansiri wants to achieve or even get from the club anymore. There are clearly problems at S6. We’ve got an uprising against the Chairman building rapidly in momentum and protests again being arranged against him. That doesn’t convince me that things are stable at the club just now, even if the points you make about the club’s stability are true (what you call controlled spending other supporters are perceiving as a lack of financial backing for DR this transfer window - and who am I to say who is right or wrong on that, especially with the Chairman saying nowt?). All I feel I am doing, and have done since the Huddersfield game, is question Chansiri’s leadership and what he wants from the club moving forward. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable thing to ask as a supporter. As you’ve said, “on field success is transient” - again, all I’ve attempted to ask over this last week or so is what does Chansiri intend to do to try and achieve that “on field success”, or at least position the club in a manner so that it looks like we are working towards it - because with relegation now staring us fully in the face, whatever it is he is and has been trying to achieve clearly isn’t working, which is why supporter patience is wearing thin and discontent against him is very much on the increase.
  11. A lot of Blades say exactly the same about him.
  12. There’s nothing special about DC, but the situation at the club is, clearly to a number of supporters, far from ideal and becoming concerning, and he is being blamed for it! Just listen to Football Heaven and Praise and Grumble, or look on message boards and Facebook/X for further proof of that. By the way, Allen was always ranting on to the media, especially when supporters started to see through him - and when he didn’t like it he attempted to sue supporters or call bizarre press conferences, making him look an even bigger twat! Cretins anyone? Milan was never under that much pressure, so I’m not sure what point you’re making with him or why he needed to make statements to appease supporters, apart from maybe him trying to seek a buyer for the club. Strafford was always on social media making his points whilst Chairman and would have loved a bigger media outlet to talk to. He didn’t need to though, as he had a big enough platform on Owlstalk and, to a lesser extent on here, or have you forgotten that? He even invited me to meet with him at S6 because of posts I made on here and Owlstalk. Richards was around in a time before social media and was generally a successful Chairman, so wasn’t scrutinised or under the same media pressures that he would have been today (Di Canio incident excepted). I wish he had been! Whereas Chansiri is under mounting pressure. He has a protest aimed directly at him tonight, the club is operating like a rudderless ship at top level, we are looking like going down, supporters don’t know whether he has a pot to piss in anymore and, it may have escaped your attention, he was happy to talk to the media not too long ago, asking supporters to put money into the club when it looked like we might not be able to pay our bills. So why be so quiet at a time like now? So I’m not sure what sort of point you’re trying to make. DC has made plenty of media statements in the past, most of which have back fired on him, but given the situation at the club right now, if there was ever a time for a Chairman to make a statement, even if only to appease the more apathetic supporters amongst our element and appeal to those about to protest against him, if you had any common sense now would be the time to make it. So I’ll put the question back to you. How bad do things have to get at the club before the Chairman should make a statement, especially when the criticism of supporters and anger is targeted directly at him? Being ‘special’ as you label it doesn’t come into it at a time like this! He’s being slaughtered by supporters, there’s a protest against him happening tonight (at a game live on SKY - where no doubt, given the club’s predicament, he will be under the spotlight during the broadcast) and his tenure at the club is being more seriously questioned than ever! So, at the risk of repeating myself, if there was ever a time to make a statement to protect your personal and professional reputation, as well as attempt to convince supporters that you’re the right man for the club and are going to address the mess we are in, I dare say, unless you’re a complete and utter muppet, now would be it!
  13. That was the last game my then 9 year old season ticket holding daughter went to watch Wednesday with me. She was scared shitless by those Leeds supporters that night, ripping down advertising boards and then witnessing what that prick did to Kirkland (Aaron Cawley, I still remember the bastard’s name). The walk back to the car after the game was the most frightened I’ve ever seen my daughter, before that game or since. She was literally shaking. After that game she said she no longer wanted to go to games with me and hasn’t been to S6 since. A further reason for me to hate them bastards! I used to love taking her to games as well.
  14. Can’t really argue with any points that caller made and that’s why after the Coventry game the other night I posted that we need Chansiri to make a statement, as like many others I’m getting sick of what is becoming a Groundhog Day scenario when it comes to the running of this football club. All I want is a bit of honesty from DC, which is why I want him to come out and tell us what his plans are for SWFC moving forward. He’s the custodian of the club, he should know the current mood of players, supporters and the manager, and if he’s got any form of credibility left in him, he should be big enough, as a leader, to come out of the woodwork and tell it like it is. I’d certainly have a lot more respect and admiration for him if he was totally honest with us, admitted his mistakes, admitted he doesn’t have the funds, desire, commitment (delete as applicable) to take the club forward and that, as of now, the club is up for sale. But in his defence, if he does announce that the club is up for sale, then supporters, and ESPECIALLY his critics, can’t and shouldn’t blame him if he decides not to put anymore cash into the club (assuming he has it), or chooses only to do so to protect his investment. And finally, if/when these protests do go ahead, they should focus on the club and not turn into an opportunity for the ‘idiot’ side of our fanbase to make it personal against Chansiri and his family!
  15. Why would he do that though? Surely if he’s got even a modicum of business acumen he should seek to get something out of his investment, and cut his losses with the least financial damage to him as possible. If he does a Reading he’ll be cutting off his nose to spite his face. My only worry would be for him to pass the custodianship of the club on to someone even worse than he is, which is entirely possible given his track record. This last few weeks have been the straw that’s broke the camel’s back for me. I’ve backed him since he came to the club, but even my patience has run out now. I no longer believe he has what’s required to take the club forward. We’re not just a damaged football club, we’re a joke of one!
  16. It’s all set up nicely for the protesters on Friday now. Team on the end of two hammerings and even the most optimistic of us are now accepting what looks to be the inevitable re our plight this season. For me Chansiri has to make some form of statement before Friday, if only to take the pressure off DR and the players. He needs to accept that he’s responsible and accountable for where we are, that he’s royally fucked up and, ideally, that he’s now actively looking to sell up. It’s irresponsible of him to just stay quiet and carry on as if everything is fine. It isn’t, we’re a club in disarray, player confidence is at rock bottom, fans are fucked off, DR must be disillusioned with how things are panning out, so now is the time that the bloke running the show, at the top of the tree, needs to show some leadership. I’m now in the Chansiri Out camp, but I accept that if he is to go it will only be on his terms, but my god the bloke needs to show some bollocks now and step up to the plate. He’s the one who appointed Munoz, he’s the one who’s called out supporters this season, he’s the one who has allowed us to enter this season on the back foot, he’s the one who has overseen a mediocre January transfer window, so now’s the time for him to address supporters and tell us what the fuck his plans and vision are for the club moving forward, because his silence is deafening! And it’s killing the club!
