We rolled over for them earlier in the season, two totally different teams now compared to them, I think we've got more than enough to take care of safety ourselves without relying on others, I'm also confident in Leicester, Norwich and Hull all wanting or needing the points will be enough if we do f**k it up ourselves, relax lads.

Nope no relaxed mode here - been there, worn the T shirt shit happens

Doubt La Plata will be open that early

Knowing where they are headed that will seem like Club Tropicana

On that note as I know you like a personal anecdote, young un took his WAG to the match last Saturday and chatting away she casually drops that her Mum had been on a date with George Michael back in the early 80s. And it wasn't in the local WC's. Anyway she dumped him as he left her to go to a music rehearsal

Fair enough, "your money pay for nothing"     "why you no sell your house"  and numerous other racist ridicule are the ones that really make me fucking sick.

It's the fact that when I frequented the Politics section on there, I was once reported to the admin on there for alleged racism that was way less than stuff now openly stated.

Wish I could have been there when WTID had to explain to Geoff that they were asking him to pay (a loan that I'm presuming was used to pay) our tax bill (that took us to the steps of the High Court).

    *For Geoff read 1867

Yep the daft thing was whilst doing said work with my WTID hat on, it just lead me to conclude it was never feasible. Because it would have been necessary to lie to the fans what the money was potentially going to be utilised for.

Ultimately WTID became a stalking horse to push people to acquire the Club without them waiting for admin.

  5. So to add, it was a short term loan that was all received / paid off in the same accounting year.

The paperwork actually showed the quantum of season ticket revenues received and how it was clearing said loan.

It was no surprise to me when the cash flow eventually hit the rocks in the summer. But that might have been 12 months on potentially. Lose track of the when

    @mkowl

When Fat Les brought in the early season ticket sales, what loan was bejng repaid (out of interest)

There was a 3m working capital loan that had been taken out the previous October.

There was another loan against TV monies.

Strafford sent me a few docs that helped in putting together a top level cash flow forecast for the WTID shit

I recall I came up with needing about £5m to plug the working capital shortfall. Imagine selling that to fans, even if you had (albeit highly unlikely) raised funds from them that it would be to cover the past.

IIRC that actually undercooked by about 2m the actual shortfall that Mandaric covered

And nothing I've read subsequently on this or the Stir thread changes my mind that the  best way to deal with the Nevs is to ignore them.

Never a simple straight answer, opinion/rumour presented as FACT  and an utterly myopic view of everything that happens at the club.

Like I said Saturday evening. They had the chance to put something out to their group and followers regarding the abhorrent actions of that plasterer prick and his son, but they didn't despite most of the higher profile Nevs seemingly, or at least publicly, disagreeing with what he did. There's also a complete lack of accountability from any of the Nevs who flat out deny their protests and online actions could be seen to be the root cause of what that vile family did to DC and the  way it ruined lots of fans enjoyment of the Wonderful west Brom win.

@Skamp @Tewksburyand the rest just ignore them.

I sort of agree your sentiments, but I also think it's important that the "facts" they quote are challenged. The one annoyance of being banned from Stalk is not being able to challenge the bollocks you see spouted on there. And that creeps across the fanbase. I know because my lads who do frequent the Facebook sites  etc will often quote it at me.

So no we won't get an answer from them, but we do have to challenge the narrative come what may

  8. The one thing that is relevant is Rohl has identified what many of us have long stated, that the Club needs long term investment, strategy, planning to stop, or at least attempt to stop the cycle of yo yo ing between the Leagues.

Chansiri is on record in the past saying "you can't plan in football" I totally accept there is a logic to that. There is no guarantee that if you spend £x - Y will happen. Far too many variables, too many others doing similar and frankly a lot of luck

But Clubs have shown, Brentford being one that was questioned by Chansiri, that getting this in place will ultimately be a positive thing

If Chansiri is not of this mindset, then what

I passed 60 years of this last year - It still doesn't get any better

    That's cheered me up 😱

I think it's that in my 50 year journey to date, the pinnacle was 33 years ago, okay it plateaued for a few more after but its a ruddy long time really being a bit shit since

You really are an odd person. Look at the context. You were not being addressed, merely referred to because it was RELEVANT to the point being made at the time.

It's just a very peculiar form of narcissism really

The irony I find being that for all the hatred of Chansiri, said person reported live from the High Court steps where the type of owner this group seems to want had erm led us there.

Even when you tell them that Lee Strafford brought in early season ticket renewals in the first place. That said money 100% went on repaying a loan - I saw the fucking paperwork.

That the much vaunted Milan secured charges against the stadium, borrowed money from some interesting people, had not invested a penny in the infrastructure and the ownership structure was opaque with an offshore entity owning us. Just about every criticism levelled at Chansiri is conveniently ignored in others.

And yes I have criticisms of Chansiri's actions, that despite the funds we haven't really advanced as a Club. But I don't have to list every single line of it like some offence sheet. I saw the pics of him the other day and genuinely he looked to have aged, a fatigue.

  11. The latest posts @bazapeps related to a former incumbent of your organisation calling the owner various things, which I don't intend to repeat.

I am fair enough to accept he no longer speaks in any official capacity, but do you endorse that type of language ?

Because that is one of my issues, it's not just the lack of debate but the insulting nature of the language being used by many of fans. Why make it personal, I simply do not get it and worse it actually turns the likes of me that are accepting of some of your criticisms of Chansiri, totally in support of him.
