Owlstalk has modus operandii of relentless agenda driven abuse of any poster not conforming to the views of the site owner. (not just DC related). Standard procedure incorporating post deletions, post manipulation, account bannings, name calling and trolling. It's relentless. Now this site is no Sunday School, true, but the scale of persistent harassment on OT is off the charts in comparison. Only personal experience or perusal over a period of weeks/months shows the true insidious hypocritical picture. In fairness some of the comments addressed at you have been a tad edgy for me BUT perhaps you are being judged by association more than some of your post content. OT devotees opening accounts on here for the immediate and SOLE purpose of spreading their anti Chansiri gospel rather than engaging with fellow fans on various topics. Bear in mind that a fair few regulars on here have been hounded off OT via various and often odious mechanisms. Perhaps no surprise that love and goodwill is strained. As said before I welcome your input on here whilst disagreeing with much of your approach. Again, though, I think perhaps your group is being tarred with the same brush as a lot of the more abusive and frankly idiotic anti-DC aficionados who reason that EVERY single negative can be attributed to DC

I think that nicely encapsulates the feelings of most non-anti Chansiri folk. I think if the 1867 group condensed it's complaints it would resonate more effectively with people. ATM there's a whiff of Mr. Angry posting a 20 point negative review on TripAdvisor because the hotel manager wouldn't reward their dust on the top of the door complaint with an upgrade to the penthouse suite.

Aside from a few salty comments ( that we all cop for on here from time to time) this is a far more honest and fair platform to air views than OT. Over there it's relentless agenda driven bullying (not always DC related - but mostly these past few months). There's relentless harassment, bullying, post deletions and bannings month in month out. Mild resistence against the dictated narrative is stamped on whilst abuse against those that have counter opinion is allowed, encouraged and participated in from the top down. Jake had an acerbic reception initially yesterday, true, but then was able to enjoy a forthright and reasonable debate in a way that simply wouldn't have been tolerated over there. It's unsurprising that 1867's courting of that site has some fall out on here given the experiences of defectors from there. FWIW whilst not agreeing with large parts (not all) of 1867's campaign; abuse, threats, spitting etc directed at your group/campaigners is totally eschewed and condemned by this old fart!

It's great to have this debate on here. Although your reception on here was initially less than cordial most will welcome (I hope) a proper debate. The group posts on OT and courts publicity via local media - perfectly fine. It's irksome though to see these exposures being shielded from counter arguments by those whose role should be neutral (and who purport to be neutral/balanced/fair). The fan base is more divided than I can remember over the past 60 years. Sad.

DC's PR is crap no doubt. A thin skin and frsustration at trying to communicate in a second language exacerbates this. He should refrain for his own and the club's good even in the face of vile personal abuse, lies and exaggerations. He needs to, IMO, appoint a trusted and effective communicator to respond to some of the misinformed/disingenuous crap aimed at him - sometimes by former player(s).

That's ostensibly a very reasonable comment. However given the systemic abuses infecting that site it's easy to see why I and others see this as a bastion from it. Some clearly resent OT aficionados infecting this site. I, on the other hand welcome you and others. This may upset some but come on in. Let's chew the fat even if you do have to put up with a more agricultural response from some than the choreographed and sustained abuses that is the norm on OT.

We are. The relentless bullying, editing/deletion of posts by admin(s); trolling and belittling; activated, stoked and encouraged from the top for posters not towing the Hargreaves line is enough to drive people away from that site. Factor in the gobsmacking faux virtue and it's easy to see why it's not for some. It's not just the DC debate either. BTW I am neither pro nor anti DC. Like most on here I'm not blind to his faults and foibles. It's the lies, eggagerations and personal abuse aimed at him relentlessly that is condoned, even encouraged, that provokes strong reactions on here and elsewhere. To be clear though; violence, arson and spitting at people is absolutely NOT my cup of tea either
