Got involved in debate with the Rev singer on X .. he posted this list which contained the King of Thailand memorial and Elephants - I nicely pointed out that he should be a little ashamed of posting something containing that him being Mr anti racism and left wing. He blocked me!

Am bored today may find this list and do a thread on here lol

    Yes get it on 😂

There was once a clip of a radio interview doing the rounds where he was basically calling scousers bin dippers I wish I'd saved a copy of it, total hypocrite.

I can only go on what I've read about the last couple of games, and while social media isn't always the most reliable of places for balanced opinion, it does seem like there's a distinct shift towards more people being negative around the club and what's going on right now on AND off it. Talk of the banner at the back of the Kop being taken down by fans etc seems to be more commonplace.

Yes I've seen the same, a smattering of anti chairman chants at Cardiff on Saturday, obviously an upturn in results soon vanquishes these things but I fear the worst if the next result and the Ipswich game don't go our way.

  3. Hypothetical I know but if we fail at Bellend Rd this weekend as I fear we might, the game after the International break could see the an awful atmosphere at Hillsborough, especially if an Ipswich side who have started well get an early goal, it could be one of the most toxic we've seen at the ground, something needs to change and quickly, at the moment I can't see what or when that will be.

Ok how do you benchmark answer 1 if not on previous ownership of SWFC? Do you benchmark it against the other 91 clubs? Because undoubtably we are better run than lots and not as good as lots and equal to lots. Then you have to set context and I revert back to historical ownership.

Otherwise we remain in the realm of a subjectivity to answer this question 🙂

    2) actually its only because people shout the negatives more than the positives from these events. This is shown in the inaccuracy of comments made post these events and they way people hear them. Previous owner didn’t care and treated us like mushrooms. Maybe that is indeed the best approach. Also we get lots of good social media content from within the club now. Again maybe the days of Green Un, fanzines and Praise Grumble hid the level of unhappiness, or prevented the loudest from repeating their point every hour on X, Facebook, Stalk etc…

    3) I agree - but they’re no guarantees in football. I am frustrated with this season but also can see us trying to play a more exciting system. I was happyish at Cardiff and first half yesterday I was like if we do this in championship no problem! But that quickly unravelled 2nd half.

Do you honestly think Moore would of been manager with full support of the supports come May 2024?

I disagree with your second point, I attended the majority of the steering group meetings and despite what points people made DC still was of the opinion that only outlay from the fans can drive the club forward, this still seems to be his mindset now, he doesn't (or doesn't want to) learn. We have nothing of the infrastructure that makes a club successful and he still keeps gambling on the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow of the Premier League to solve all our problems. You have to wonder how many failed attempts/millions wasted will it be before he's had enough.

Really, I think the chansiri apologists have genuinely to ask themselves

    1) As the club moved forward in any way in the last 8.5 years

    2) As he created more issues than he has solved in terms of supporter engagement

    3) Do you have any confidence his latest master plan will succeed

I can safely say the evidence is not really in your favour

    1) No

    2) Yes

    3) No

Being pedantic it's "Has" btw. 🙂

He denies it's about the money but he doesnt say he didnt ask for a large increase for himself and his staff as DC said. Not forgetting his staff all left with him at the same time which in my opinion points to money being the main gripe.

I thought exactly the same, it's cleverly written.

Great weekend had once again at Tramlines despite the weather.

Highlights for me were Ashcroft who was way better than I thought he would be, The K's, Red Rum Club, Paul Heaton (and Rianne) and an entertaining set from McFly.

Sunday was horrendous underfoot and a lot bailed out after Reverend.  A sham as Paul Heaton was great.  For a Blade I don't mind him and was quite funny - claimed the sun was shining at Bramall Lane and then at then end had red and white streamers expode from the stage.  All light hearted - I don't mind that.

Think it is losing a bit each year but reckon that is down to people being so familiar with it all now.  Also some of the undercard was a bit poor this year but we are at saturation point with festivals.

Costs are high once inside but par for the course with anything.  Beer is cheaper than at the O2 Academy and not bad if a little contraband (Rum) smuggled in.

Tickets for 2024 purchased last night.

    I'd have gone before.

I don’t know of anything that would stop it, but suspect it could be a worry over something like fraud/anti-money laundering checks making the process a hassle. Unusual authorisations may look suspicious and trip the fraud defence systems and the club might just see that as not worth the trouble.

I have worked closely with the legal and fraud departments in banks, but never in those departments themselves, so there definitely could be something that I’m missing.

I've read that it's a rule set by merchant service providers, I'd just like to see the actual wording.

He, JM, is impossible to engage with in any reasonable way.

He's like Owlstalk in that sense, you disagree on anything, even if you're 100% correct and it's a block, pile on, or whatever

He's a bully as well, seen many a screenshot of him (and his brother) PM'ing threats to people. I know a Twitter user who offered to knock him the fuck out and McClure said he was calling the police and tried to get the blokes wife involved.

Also one called Jim that seems pretty level headed that is getting a lot of grief.

The level of debate by the bloke who runs the site is - I'm right, you're wrong and no matter what you post I'll just talk over you, if you post irrefutable facts that contradict his world view you're suspended or banned, absolute clown.

Both sounded good tbf last Thursday.

The Mrs really wanted to see Pulp in Scarborough but couldn't get tickets, ended up doing the expensive route of day tickets to Latitude next Friday so she can see - she makes no apology - her favourite fella from Sheffield

Went to the Hawley/Pulp double header at the Arena last night, RH sounded great and Jarvis is such an amazing frontman, great gig.
