Would make sense with the entire back room staff going too

However, I’m of the opinion you trust your manager, especially one that has just delivered what he did.

When it goes wrong you hold him accountable.

There could also be an element of DM and staff thinking they deserve longer term contracts and asking for them, I mean who doesn’t want security in their life?

    Shoplifters?

Alot work on the basis arrive with the manager leave with the manager, the chances are their contract were all up as well.

Personally wouldn't be surprised if its a case of Chansiri wanting playoffs next season but expecting to do that with frees and loans, Moore has told him it's unrealistic and we should be looking at consolidation and they've decided to go their own ways.

Let's be honest the work he's done off the pitch with reconnecting the fans with the club far outweighs the work on the pitch.

He's have undone all that had we not performed a miracle in the play offs though.

I don’t think people realise how very very close they got to admin last season. Far closer than we’ve ever been.

Even with the Prem money, it’s not improved. Every player of quality is available. I even got told they might lose Ndiaye for as little as 12 million. Berge is a higher fee because of his salary and he’ll be due a pay off.

If they don’t sort the ownership out, they will start August with a worse squad than they ended last season with.

Getting promoted really did save their skin, they'd have been in a proper mess if they hadn't gone up.

What did Malc do to make him potentially not allowed in?

All Malc did was Tweeted questions and points raised by fans and was singled out by DC for allegedly spreading "negativity" strange.

    Anyone heard from Malc lately?

All I know is the feeling of winning is 100 times better than that defeat 7 years ago.

My only hope is that we try and build properly. Don't just throw the kitchen sink at it without a sustainable plan. It wasn't that it just failed one season last time, the knock on effect impacted at least 2 more seasons, threw out some mind numbingly awful football, shit managers and for me a real soul search about me continuing being an active supporter. The low point was 2 years ago, that summer was a turning point in many ways.

But whilst the peak this weekend was great do I really want to endure the troughs

This is exactly it, team like Brighton, Brentford, Plymouth etc are showing the way forward for running a club sustainably and being successful with it (just make sure banning key players from the bookies is part of the strategy though).

  6. I’ve been fuming since last Friday, thought we’d thrown our chance away big time.

When we kicked off I was thinking if we could get a goal in the first 10mins you never know. Smith calmly put the pen away.

I then thought if we can get a second before half time and it duly arrived.

Must admit I got greedy and wanted a third to make a game of the second half, instead we scored in that half but with plenty of time left to really make the dream come true.

As the game wore on I thought it was going to be an admirable effort but we’d just fall short, 6 mins of added time came up, the 6 mins expired, my lad turned to me and said it’s not going to happen, I said there’ll be a little bit longer yet as their players had been going down like flies, up stepped Palmer with the latest of late goals, euphoria.

Extra time I wanted us to win it, couldn’t face the thought of pens, a harsh (I thought) free kick but Posh back in front with an OG that would have been so cruel on Gregory, after getting back to 4-4 surely we couldn’t do it again, Pato 5-5, penalties didn’t seem quite as bad now.

Full time, nerves shredding but 5 beautifully taken penalties later and one of the best comebacks in football history was done.

    Incredible.

  7. Saw Roger Waters at the Sportspalei in Antwerp at the weekend, proper arena show and very good, plenty of Floyd stuff in the set.

Bootleg Beatles at the Leadmill is next up.
