Any idea how our attendance yesterday compared to the rest of the EFL? I can’t find anywhere showing attendances but I’d imagine there weren’t many higher outside the Prem.

I thought I saw something saying it was the highest attendance of the day in the EFL.

Lets be honest, we were playing Plymouth in the third division, Wouldn't you rather have a lower attendance and be beating Leeds or Liverpool in the Premier League - like Forest (29k) and Wolfs (31k) did?

Why would we be have lower attendances playing those games in the Prem? The Plymouth game just goes to show the support if there's something there to get excited about

So we've sold out at Plymouth, albeit 500 fewer than we took last season and after MK, Bolton and Posh our away average stands at just under 5k, ridiculous for 3rd tier football.

At Hillsborough the away numbers certainly dropped off after Pompeys impressive turnout on day 1, Charlton not helped by rail strikes mustered just over 700 and Forest Green managed 324.

Anyway here are some tables I've got off another forum.

Still highest average in EFL, though with some small stadiums in the run in, it may not stay that way.  Only teams in EFL who’ve not taken less than 1000 to any away league game this season…Wednesday, Derby, Ipswich, Sunderland, Boro.

Technically true, we had sub 1k attended at Plymouth but 1481 announced, last time we officially took sub 1k to an away day in the league was 2015

Dingles aside, we’ve a few small allocations left..  likely derby will finish above us?

With 3 games since the last averages were posted our number has dropped slightly to 2,708.

With the 5 aways we have left being sub 2k allocations that will drop to 2,450ish assuming all sell out.

Even if we allocate the entire Lepp at 3,700 to Derby it won't be enough for them to beat our average.

23 years and counting since a top flight football away day, not many clubs would still get those numbers.

Will certainly make up for not getting promoted this season.

Do we have an honours board?

I’ve just done the maths.  Assuming nobody gives us any extra tickets, Shrewsbury give us the usual away allocation of 1796, we give the Sheep 3700, and they sell out all their remaining games, the final averages will be…Wednesday 2451, Sheepworriers 2446.
