Bellsview
Have Liverpool and Juventus supporters found common ground in tragedy?
mkowl
We perhaps should not underplay witnessing traumatic events, but the comment I liked was the Forest kid who was at the game, was sent to school on the Monday, parents might have asked if he was alright. But basically get on with it, don't wallow. You probably should be more sensitive to emotions but I know talking to friends my age with now grown up kids of similar age you have to bite your tongue and not simply shout "just get the fuck on with it" That is the best solution
TheExile
Surely if someone needed to talk about that day to someone else, to ease their trauma they would have done so and have always been able to. It doesn’t need to be official and played out in the media moving forward. But where is the story in that 35 years later Edited April 12 by TheExile
Andyben
The (western) world went to shit when men started talking about feelings. Just fucking man up and get on with it.
lobster
It started in the 70s which coincided with the veterans of WW2 retiring . Most had gone straight in to work from the forces so that occupied them . As soon as they started to retire the problems began to start
Tewksbury
It all went tits up when Diana died. It suddenly became fashionable to get overemotional about everything and the press found a goldmine fuelling it.
