mkowl
I think he goes down in the good leaver category. It is always interesting for a footballer, career wise. It's almost a bit institutionalised, you are retiring at an age where in other professions or vocations you are still progressing. I am sure the money helps but many will have spent as they earn You wonder aside from those in coaching roles or media, which is a lot, what the rest end up doing for the next 30 years of working life. Tylluan
Be interesting to see who we bring in. Goalkeeper coach is such a niche area nowadays. There's an extra module for working with young keepers, to take into account growing bone structure and mental development, that it's almost become a separate entity. You can't just throw the job at an ex player, like what used to happen. There are plenty of good youth keeper coaches out there but they're specialists you've probably never heard of. Maybe our current good standing as an academy may sway other coaches like it's swayed other academy players Another factor is the Germans are way ahead of us in this area, just saying.
