Did he not think for a millisecond that there would be criticism of his post.  Not sure what goes through some of these players heads with social media.

On the same day we have the polar opposite of Will Vaulks doing what he does.  Definite Club Captain to be proud of.

Re-posting with some sort of comment like “deserves to tell his side” would have been bad enough, but would have been (just about) defensible. 
 

Adding the “top man” bit takes it to a different level.

The club will come under a lot of pressure to strip him of the captaincy I would think.
