At least we know for sure: I've seen / heard him claim both our senior clubs at times over the last 50 years. The fact is that he's just not a football type, as exemplified by him referring to it as "soccer".   🤯

I recall one of his travel series where he was getting onto a train in India or somewhere and he held a trophy above his head and said “Sheffield Wednesday!” so I always assumed he was a Wednesday fan, until I met him and he clearly wasn’t. He’s a bit like Naseem in that he “supports football in Sheffield “.

Just read the article and it is heartening to see that both young players featured in Palin's article made it to be professional footballers . Pierre da Silva now with Miami and Dodo with Fiorentina .
