  1. Remember though, Wigan got sold so it's easy to find buyers, right?
  2. I think he'll keep them up. Which is bad news for us. When he came for the interview & it was him or Monk, I didn't want either but thought that Monk was the lesser evil. In hindsight, Rowett would have been a much better option, although the football would still have been painful to watch.
  3. I don't want to be negative but they score goals for fun. They will just have too much for us and I can't see anything but them winning 3-0. Being more positive, we don't need this result, anything we do get is a bonus.
  4. I've really taken against Ipswich fans this season, moaning bitches. A win would be lovely and would prompt another letter to the EFL.
  5. So you want DC to sell? Suppose he said tomorrow " I'll sell, I'll even take a very cheap price, but in the meantime I won't put any more money in" Would that be a success?
  6. Leeds tickets sold out in 2 minutes!
  7. When you've got one of the leaflet distributors on X complaining about the abuse he got on Friday night (which is of course, wrong) but for months on end he's been dishing out abuse to anyone who doesn't share his anti DC views, labelling them with all sorts of names. Do these folk not realise that words and actions can have consequences and if you deliberately divide a fanbase, then you might be contributing to bad feelings and resentment against you. I tried to make this point on X, but some just don't get it..the Group is the shining paragon of virtue in all of this in some folks minds.
  8. Went to Farsley Celtic v Alfreton yesterday. Enjoyable game although alot of lumping it went on. Liam Waldock ex Wednesday lined up as a 10 for Alfreton & was the best on the pitch by a mile. He scored one, set one up, had another saved brilliantly by the Farsley keeper and he just looked sharp, neat and tidy throughout. For me, he looked much better than this level. He's got another season left on his contract but I'd be surprised if he doesn't move upwards in the summer. Alfreton won 3-2. Farsley had Clayton Donaldson 39 & ex Dingle Michael Coulson 37 up front. Let's just say, it didn't work.
  9. You could always go watch James Arthur (crap singer) at The Motorpoint instead... Oh hold on, tickets are over £40.
  10. Jesus and Mary Chain announced for Brudenell - March 21st, tickets on sale Friday, limited to 2 pp. I'm all over this.
  11. Lad must have a cloud permanently over his head.
  12. just shaking my head at that decision. We've had some tough ones go against us this season, but that is an absolute joke.
  13. I wanted to see if the Group themselves could/would answer the question honestly. They didn't/couldn't. Instead they let the loyalists fight their cause, most of them couldn't even understand the premise of the question. Still, every army needs fodder.
  14. I've been thinking about this... They kicked off again at the end of the transfer window. Their reasoning was that they'd gone quiet to give DC a chance to back the manager and put together what we needed. Because, in their view we'd had a crap window, as soon as the bell tolled they were justified in setting off again...so they did. Now it's becoming clear that we actually had a more than decent window, especially in relation the the clubs around us, are they big enough to admit that they were wrong to start again? Geoff? Geoff?
  15. Can I just say, I absolutely fucking detest the NEC.
  16. Birmingham. We're not actually disagreeing that much. Yeah I'm saying Sheffield won't get global acts now, and it won't. The infrastructure just isn't there for that and "Sheffield" doesn't have any cache on the global gig circuit, not in the way that the cities that you mention do (even chuffing Birmingham). And Sheffield City Council doesn't have the will/means/ambition to change it, which is pretty much what you're saying.
  17. The Stones were there in 1973 so i see your point.
  18. You're confusing Sheffield with London, Paris, Amsterdam etc It will never get global superstars who sell out 40k plus arenas because it doesn't have any. The bands that play Motorpoint will quite happily stay at the hotel I've just quoted (& others like it) and they have. It's not an issue.
  19. Ignoring that Sheffield wouldn't get either of them to start with...I know this hotel has had bands who've played the Motorpoint stay https://www.hellabyhallhotel.co.uk/
  20. They don't have to stay in the CC...there are decent hotels not far out.
