  1. Dc got DR in. But does he get any credit for that?
  2. This. But tbh. It needs to happen to a degree too. It’s been blindingly obvious when we’ve played against the better teams, we can be sliced open at will.
  3. So you’re saying there’s a chance?
  4. Yeah. It’s a fair shout but, although he started well, their form started turning south before he left IIRC
  5. No. He doesn’t. FWIW I can’t see any other outcome but George has played his last game for Wednesday already. I’m just disappointed it ended the way it did, last season and the one before he was tremendous at times
  6. Hope we can get extra allocation of tickets passed by the SAG. There’s nowt like 4 sides of Owls
  7. He was about 30 seats to our left… attracting plenty of attention… Could he get his place back in the squad? As in, could it have been that we let him go because we had to get rid of someone to get the likes of Poveda in, and couldn’t get rid of Hendrick, Fletcher to reduce the wage bill a bit? Rather than actually wanting him out? LiamOwl offered this yesterday as a possibility…. Maybe not beyond the realms of possibility ??
  8. Blackburn Rovers (a) - Championship - 21/4/24 - 1-3 (w) I’m not bothering with the short highlights. Who wants that!??? 🤣
  9. Wow. What a game in the end it turned out to be. A fantastic start and, a second half to be proud of. I was a little gutted that we allowed them back in it after getting our noses in front with one long ball into that left channel. It was so simple. But, credit where it’s due, with injury issues in the game, and the home side subdued the away end a LITTLE early in the second half, the players didn’t let it get to them. When Diaby went off it actually seemed to be a case of, ‘f**k adversity, we’re having this’ and that’s not a slight on Bambo either as I thought he did when when he came on. Vaulks was HUGE yesterday, and IMO there needs to be a pat on the back for Marv too. Goal aside, in that second half he made so many vital touches when it looked like they’d got in round the back he got there with a head or a toe at the last. That win felt huge, just getting out of the bottom 3 even though it’s far from over, just seemed to give a new belief to everyone. It was a memorable day, on 21st April again, a day which has in the past served us well. But, it means nothing if we don’t follow it up.
  10. I was like this before the game v Stoke last week... Fine. Then after we scored, I started to feel nervous.... ! Hopefully with the noise in the away end today, that nervy bit won't happen!
  11. Interesting Windass calls DR the best coach he's ever worked with.
