So… this is the big one.
Fury v Usyk. I have flip flopped between the two of them. At the minute, I think Fury does it because he looks in top shape and very very motivated. But, Usyk is an absolute elite fighter, a much better boxer than Fury.
I am currently under the old phrase that a good big un beats a good little un.
I’m actually watching it with a couple of Ukrainian lads from one of my football teams.

I have an 18 month old to keep me occupied. But, outside of that, I’ll be out on the bicycle most weekends and a few weeknights.
The three of us are off to Gdańsk for the weekend in two weeks, and then off to a place called Łeba in late June for a week for a bit of a beach break.
I’ll also be at the Euros for a couple of games this summer too.

Bayern Munich - fucking up late 1-0 leads since 1999.
You can see why Tuchel won’t be there next season. In absolute control, 1-0 up, and replaces his three best players and just invites Real up the pitch. Taking Kane off was madness as he was causing havoc.

So, you bringing Jaydon Sancho to Germany this summer if you're in charge of England?
Looks back to his best at moment and can fit in anywhere along the 3 behind Kane.
But its Southgate so he'll probably bring some young lad from Palarse or Villa instead
Nah. He’s actually been pretty shite at Dortmund. And he’s in a position where at least 5 players are ahead of him statistically in terms of goals and assists.
Saka, Palmer, Foden, Bowen, Eze, Maddison. Even the likes of Rashford and Sterling, and Gibbs White and Hudson Odoi have done better,

yet Casemiro was superb last season for them?
He's seemingly got a great knack of coaching players to become worse
His legs have completely gone. He’s so far off the pace now that he’s other players are having to fill the gaps he’s leaving. Teams are targeting him and just running off him like he’s not there.

The Rosenior situation is quite a shocker. It’s not like he missed out on the playoffs by 20 points. It was a last weekend of the season thing. He’ll have no issues in getting a job, I see Sunderland have been linked.
Moyes, I am not really shocked. West Ham fans don’t really like him, and they’ve had a really poor season considering the spend. But, the fella they have brought in is not going to have much success.

Some of the latest Under the Cosh episodes talk about Grealish and what a genuinely good chap he is.

It’s been a disaster for Ten Haag. I’ve had a look at his transfers, and not one has been a success. Even the ones who have looked decent have ended up being crocks.
When you look at the analysis from ex pros on how they play, there’s no plan, players look disinterested with the exception of a couple, and they have got players like Casemiro who are so far away off the level needed that it’s sad to watch.
They need a rebuild from top to bottom, coaching, players, the lot.

I’ll not speak so much about today. I didn’t see us losing against a bang out of form Sunderland side, and first 45 minutes, we were really good. Deserved to be ahead. Yes, they had a spell where they created and missed good chances, and James Beadle made good stops, but, we took the sting out last 15 mins, and managed the game out. A game full of 7 out of 10’s, although I thought Valentin, Iorfa, Palmer and Bernard were very good.
What I do want to speak about is what a job that Rohl and his staff has done, not just to turn the mentality around, but to get a tune out of a squad of players who on paper are not good enough for the division, get them fit, inject a clear style and structure, but more impressively, teaching a group of players new things when we all wrote a lot of them off.
The points tally alone is impressive, but you marry that with all of the other work done, it’s a frankly astonishing turn around and the fact that this is Rohl’s first managers job, and it’s in a league he has no experience of.
What we want now is DC to back him, and let him build something. If Rohl is still in charge in three years time, we’ll be a premier league team.

I’ve gone for a match winner in Musaba. When he’s at it, we are so much more of a threat.
Vaulks has been good, Valentin looks like a good championship full back, if Johnson was 25 and not 32, he’d be worth a lot of money. Beadle has been great, Ugbo looks a player.
I think that Bannan has been good, in a far more disciplined role alongside Vaulks. He’s our best footballer and we keep the ball so much better with him in the team. Goals and assists have dried up because he’s doing a lot of the work further back with control. He’s also driving a midfield press. He’s been good under Rohl.
But, he doesn’t win player of the year.

I thought Kane was outstanding last night. Bellingham less so.
Rudiger absolutely dominated Haaland, and Kane showed what you need to do against centre halves of that type. Just take them into areas of the pitch where they can’t stop him.

Hull finish 3-3. They can still get to the playoffs and Norwich still not secure despite a +7 goal difference. They’re probably there, but not by enough to play the reserves. Good result for us.
It’s a good result. It means that Hull and Norwich will need to get results next weekend at Plymouth and Birmingham.
-
Just a very controlled display for 70 minutes, you do that every week over the course of a season - you’ll not be far off.
First half, very disciplined with and without the ball. Second half, Rohl clearly told the front three to press like their lives depended on it, and we caused chaos.
The third goal and the changes caused our levels to drop a bit, but Beadle and the back three were very good, as was Vaulks in front.
I thought Iorfa, Beadle, Vaulks, Bannan and Bernard were very good. I thought Musaba and Ugbo were excellent.
A point does it next weekend, but we have to go and try and win. So it’s not over yet, we need a Hull win tonight to pile the pressure on Norwich.

That statement from Forest yesterday was embarrassing. But, to be fair, they have doubled down and demanded VAR audio for the three decisions today. So they are sticking to guns.
Having seen all three, I’m astonished two weren’t given, and the third was debateable.
But herein lies the issue. The officials are literally untouchable, they don’t have to explain decisions, they don’t have to speak to managers and players post game, they don’t have to meet the media, but more critically, any criticism regardless of performance leads to a player or manager fine, whilst the prem refs get a demotion BUT no loss of earnings.
It’s the only profession I can remember when no matter what they do or how bad they are, they are not accountable in any way shape or form.
And our referees are fucking shit. For every good one, there are 3 bad ones.

We did a job on them.
It wasn’t sticking first half, but second half, the balls were less straight, we pressed them in wide areas, and we won all the second balls. Just good, old fashioned football basics.
We scored two great goals, and the freak from the keeper, I still, to this minute don’t what he was trying to do with the attempt at recover the situation. They missed one good chance but rest ot the half was us having control with and without the ball.
Palmer, Famewo, Johnson, Bannan and Vaulks were good.
We need to defend like that the next two weekends, if we do, we’ll stop up.
-
It’s just not sticking to the forwards. It’s that simple.

It was a cracker. I feared for Garcia due to his unhinged behaviour this past 5 months and the wild stuff that’s happened this fight week, and the fact that he blew the weight.
But, he was really good last night, hurt Haney multiple times. I genuinely think that the ref could have counted more knock downs, should have taken at least 2 points off Haney and had good reason to pull Haney out of there.

Both deflected strikes, but, poor keeping.

Arsenal were awful with the ball. Bayern are not great, but they were comfortable.
City, despite there utter dominance, were let down by all of there attacking players. Haaland, De Bruyne, Foden, Silva. All poor against a Real side who let them have the ball. And Cities unwillingness to want to pull the trigger is just daft.

We’ve got an embarrassment of riches in attacking areas.
Conceivably, we could play Rice and Bellingham in a two. And then line up Foden, Palmer and Saka behind Kane.
The two players, who at the minute, are most at risk are probably Rashford and Grealish. Bowen and Gordon have really had good seasons in terms of numbers. Maddison will go too.
-
I think we absolutely need two wins from the last three. We have to win at all costs next weekend at Blackburn - there is no hiding from that.
Issue today, not enough quality in the final third. Either with pass or finish.
Not really sure why Ihiekwe is flying in for the Stoke equaliser, wrong decision.
-
I don’t blame Rohl for wanting to play out. The passes we were not making were not due to an aggressive press, but simply due to player mistakes. If Norwich were pressing like animals, and we persisted, you could blame Rohl, but they didn’t. They literally just had to stand still and we gave them the ball back.
I cannot accept that any professional footballer in this era cannot find a fellow player from 10 yards away under minimal pressure. If a player can’t, they need to sit in the stand and pack it in.
The fact that Rohl had to go ale house in the second half is an indictment of our players inability to do what most 14 year olds can do.
