That was a completely mad last 15 minutes, where it actually worked against Madrid. I think I would be annoyed if a fan of theirs, whilst they have had success as a dogs of War team, they made City look very average in that 2nd half playing football not shithousing. Not comparing quality wise but we have faced League 1 equivalents where you just think play football -
Over 5k sold for MK

Saying that I always go up the A5 to Towcester, then on A43 to M1 at 15a. Stadium bang next to A5 and saves you a few roundabouts across MK. Trying to remember last time we played whether the cinema and food outlets were open at the away end side ? -

Well they are already there from just before Junction 16 to 14 - been there years as they widen the road But hopefully no closures over the weekend in that section - think none are planned. Though I might pay to get some bollards put out just for a laugh -

Dates for your calendar…. Re next season.
mkowlthesexynewversion replied to HoylandOwl's topic in The Haigh and Wright Suite
the serious answer is that games could be impacted under the normal international call up rules So on the basis we don't sign Ronaldo and Messi for a Lg 1 promotion push our games should be on. Not sure whether any other League 1 clubs have World cup players lurking. The more interesting consideration is that there are kick offs at 3pm on a Saturday for the World Cup - I am presuming that was GMT. My quick check was that England aren't playing that time in the Group stages -

The permutations in League 1 look insane with the number of games to be played between the top 8 teams, counting in Oxford still Wigan will do enough to get automatic promotion. Whilst not favourites in any way Plymouth if they got results in their last games could still have a shout Theoretically if we beat MK Dons and our game in hand then be only 4 points behind. Obviously would need a swing in our favour before that game -

Certainly puts MK Dons a bit more in their own hands. Goal difference still favours Rotherham Can work both ways, the fact our game is the last of that round of fixtures means all will know what is what -
Bailey Cadamarteri….

I hope he does stay, for his own career development if not his bank balance in the short term -
Not sure if its recent or not, but watched the Jimmy Saville doc on Netflix last night. We all know the story of course but was still fascinating but a damn difficult watch at times. The old adage of commiting crime in broad daylight is often the way not to be caught. Then reading articles about this Tory MP for Wakefield, professing his innocence still and others defending. At least they get convicted but even that case was 13 years ago.

Liking the Wet Leg album, bit different to other stuff around at present. In response to Owling I was a bit of a Spotify refusnik to start with. Got persuaded by the daughter a few years back to go for the family bundle of 15 quid a month. Now its fair to say I get my moneys worth. Premium is worth paying so you control the playlist. But also the linked stuff playlists, so if you like an artist here is similar things. Thanks to Andy on here, I picked up some of the electronica / dance playlists.

Crypto backed partners arrive at Swfc
mkowlthesexynewversion replied to HoylandOwl's topic in The Haigh and Wright Suite
I have decided I am close enough to retirement not to try and understand the whole concept of block chains, crypto currency. I know other football clubs have got involved and there is a question whether they are encouraging fairly uneducated financial people to get involved without risks being fully explained to them And I would count myself in that on this topic -

Tbh we don't know if DM tried and failed to get a striker in The thing that got me Saturday was something just seemed missing for a club wanting to be in the play offs. Its not a lack of effort, far from it, just deep down lack of passion to get the win. Well I am perhaps not finding the right words here, as its not they don't give a shit but did they give maximum shit they could have -

Blimey zero re-collection of that - though looking at the date guess there was a good chance I was on holiday -
Watching your national team
mkowlthesexynewversion replied to Reesh's topic in The Haigh and Wright Suite
Saw a qualifier v Luxembourg at the old Wembley, won 6 - 0. Also got some freebie tickets from a pension company for a friendly v Sweden at the new Wembley. Was in the mid tier corporate seats, all very soulless, got a free beer at HT so just stayed drinking that for 20 minutes. There was also some B international v France in about 1984 at S6. Schools were dishing out free tickets in the West Stand, but we declined preferring the Kop. Our school won a prize for distributing most tickets, which our Head of PE went onto the pitch to collect. To a rendition of "Mr Moss, Mr Moss what a wanker what a wanker" from a section of the Kop. In truth he was, a lad I used to sit with Todd decking him at a basketball game was proof of that -

Bit moist from seeing a full Kop -
Not that I readily understood it but the German TV commentators seemed more than happy with him. Didn't the game kick off at 6pm our time or something. I remember getting in from work channel hopping in hope more than expectation. Sorry off on a tangent, but my youngest can't quite fathom how few games in comparison there were, but in the early 90s how thrilled seeing foreign football felt

Anyone else get the Bolton FM commentary on the stream yesterday. Clearly I shouldn't grumble - but it was also about 4 minutes behind the game. I take full responsibility for Bolton's equaliser as I switched over to Soccer Saturday on 88 minutes to jump ahead to the near full time whistle. First score I saw come up their equaliser FFS -
I think my first dish and box was about £360. Got it at start of the Premier League in 1992. Not sure I was well off but I treated myself after spending 2 months or more studying for my accountancy exams. Got to see the Kaiserslautern game on SAT 1 - the German Channel. It also had some decent soft core porn,

It was novel to have overseas league football to watch, first time that had happened. Sky had the Super Sunday game but it kicked off at 4pm so these games were in the 2pm fuck all else to watch slot. With Gazza going to Lazio as well.

Tbf DM is having a pop at them for the defending at set pieces. However its not so much we conceded, but the fact there was a couple of other great opportunities for them as well. We were a tad lucky with our goal as there was enough going on for it to be disallowed. The irony is we look dangerous attacking set pieces as we are at conceding -

Annoying not so much conceding but not being ruthless with a couple of chances after we had taken the lead. I just think that plus the absolute inability to defend crosses will ultimately be a pivotal factor in either getting into the play offs or being successful in them
