  1. Just got back, thanks Highways Agency shutting the M1 as usual. Echo some other thoughts already made, but Moore used up a couple of cats lives tonight. The team selection raised an eyebrow to start with. It looked justified as we created those early chances and you have to score those. That first one stick yer dick on it and it goes in. Their keeper having a tactical injury helped stem that early pressure, got them to re-organise somewhat and we stopped doing the simple things. Bannan drops deeper and Patterson simply does not have any basic skills in either holding up the ball or passing it. NML was our best outlet. Not seen the penalty incident again, but it looked soft then again its in the dark section with no ruddy lights so who knows. Clinical penalty Wtf taking off Gregory though. That was a gamble because our ability to retain possession upfront and link play is simply gone. But that was a get out of jail performance,
  2. Well in case we have all forgotten, there is a match this evening. The only good news about it being moved is it enabled me to do a lot of gardening yesterday. my lawn looks decent compared to our pitch the key tonight is the right attitude, no slacking off or thinking we can just turn up to win. They can play with no pressure on them, but we just need to be at them and make em play the 2nd half with their flip flops on thinking about some slappers in Magaluf
  3. Steve Bruce taking some right flack on Twitter Ironic that the last club where he was even remotely liked (mainly because of the right shit before him) was at S6. Its fair to say karma knows its stuff - unbelievable Jeff
  4. Guy who delivers our stationary is a Luton fan, was worried about this weekends fixtures but come out alright. Thing is about the Championship money massively helps for the relegated clubs, but if you get a decent manager - Jones somehow fits there where he didn't elsewhere - find good players and decent loans you can be reasonably successful. It seems the better option than throwing big bucks at players who don't seem to give a shit
  5. Oxford v MK tomorrow as well Rotherham at Burton, the latter not scored for 5 games so time they made up for lost time We just need to go in with the right attitude
  6. Agreed on the results, drops us to 7th but that was always probable today
  7. I think that is the issue with him. Though I sense he was picked out as someone known on this occasion. A thread on OT suggested it was about persistent standing but they could have picked 4999 others out. Irony if he was in a wheelchair as it was at Hull he got kicked out for standing in front of our disabled fans
  8. Lee Peacock - for the slightly obscure reason he seemed to be liked by the fan base but to me that simply epitomised how far we had declined that he was considered an ok player
  9. Cocko - tuts and shakes head at Tee turning into Chris Wilder
  10. I can see he was mentioned in passing but I give singular unpraise for Andy Sinton
  11. Well the bean counter in me will say with some justification that the revenue generating capacity of Hillsborough is not as good as it should be. It would also be if on a park type setting that the Club as a captive audience in many ways. If it then provides decent internal food and drink facilities and a variety of options based on budget, that is better for the Club financially. It seems a lot of Wednesday fans want to spend dosh on match days anywhere but the stadium, then moan about funds. My lad went to the new Spurs ground a month ago, on the big terrace. Totally blows other venues out the water. Nostalgia is great but you cannot be constrained by it
  12. Well first time since 1992/93 that the same clubs face each other in the League Cup and FA Cup. Must be a right pisser to lose both 🙄
  13. I think the Wednesday fans proved its not soulless last night, does that earn me the ban you threatened because that would be fairly sad
  14. True, in the top 2 and less than 9k home fans in the stadium. Given the size of MK these days and still expanding population wise. I guess they suffer because the connections are with other clubs from the incomers and - ignoring the engineering works - the London premier league clubs are in easy reach. The stadium is definitely one of the better new ones, that style but a Kop like the Spurs one to add a bit. Sadly I don't think the footprint at Hillsborough is big enough to do it properly.
  15. Enjoyed that even if it was nervous wreck time 😬 for injury time. The one reassuring observation, the number of next generation Wednesday fans coming through the ranks. I appreciate some of them may get overexcited at times, but the young lads and a few lasses were 100% on it. Made this old fudder quite proud that they have inherited the passion Great vids of the HT concourse Lee Gregory song. Today's earworm for sure. And its a decent stadium despite what some say, its not soulless with a full away end thats for sure
