  1. Season tickets - I agree re the multiple phases feeling silly, especially if we'd gone through the pre Xmas one and I also agree the later phase pricing are very poor. But the facts remain, we have early bird every single year, and we all have the opportunity to buy at similar prices to 10 years ago. So it frustrates me when people use South Stand phase 64 prices to form their arguments. The comparison to our prices a decade ago is a valid point, because rightly or wrongly we've always been one of the more expensive clubs. It would make zero sense to purchase a business and reduce cashflow when fans have consistently shown we are willing to pay upper end. It would be really stupid of him to sell season tickets at £300. So again, the fact we all have the option to renew at similar prices to a decade ago shouldn't be overlooked. Card / Cash payments - agree it's enough to raise an eyebrow and question the club. But my experience and by the sounds of it 10,000+ more was to log on, select season ticket, pay with card via PayPal and job done, no dramas. Perhaps we don't have the same protection with PayPal, I honestly don't know, but given we've had one season in living memory (since the war maybe?) where we couldn't attend games then I won't lose any sleep over this risk. Gregory / Marvin - Like I say, all businesses have some form of wastage costs. I don't think Gregory's wages for a few months (he may still end up playing a part) are particularly significant in our accounts. Also Marvin has been excellent since coming back into the team so it worked well not getting shut when Xisco was here. In terms of the common theme, we had it with Westwood and Hutchinson, with two separate managers, but they were always brought back in when we made a management change so that would suggest it wasn't Chansiri's doing. 2m a month / tax bill - sounds like we're in agreement so I won't labour on this point. His PR is awful, he's overly emotional and over explains himself, I wish he would let someone else do the media as it can be a bit embarrassing. I'll put some of it down to the language barrier (esp £2m comment) but that isn't an excuse for everything. Xisco / DM / Rohl - it probably was as simple as seeing Xisco was cheaper and had a Championship promotion on his CV. Either way he corrected it and the current team are no doubt costing a lot of money. I was neutral to DM leaving, thought he deserved a shot but didn't think he was a particularly good manager, and it sounds like he was trying to be very greedy money wise. The media outbursts were embarrassing but would easily be forgotten in happier times. Accounts - Of course now with the benefit of hindsight we wouldn't have 'gone for it' in 2015-2020 and would have invested that money in the club's infrastructure. But he took the same approach many clubs do, it just didn't pay off for us. There was always going to be some pain if we didn't make it. Now that pain has come in the form of interest payments, but we still have plenty of FFP wiggleroom. So I don't think it's an immediate concern unless he wants to try and claim back some of the capital (if that's even possible). The fact remains we are operating a lot more sustainably than most championship clubs.
  2. 100% I read on OT all the time things like "I'm baffled why 'they' think this", "idiots", "thick as mince" etc. Without any attempt to offer balance or even try and understand things from other perspectives, so debate is pointless. Try and offer middle ground and you're labelled as 'pro-Chansiri'. As you say it's become an echo chamber for one side. I think proven by every single other platform having a more critical stance on protests. From my short time here I can at least see arguments (mostly) go along the lines of "I see why you'd think X, let me put another way" As has been alluded to, and I've said this to Jim on Twitter, I don't doubt the good intentions of the group. I just think they're very misguided and tunnel visioned.
  3. Definitely seems a theme here which I think is, a lot of the 1867 concerns have some validity, but when you strip behind the surface you realise just how little substance there is and how much catastrophising is going on. Season tickets a good example, maybe I imagined this but I renewed my season ticket for £460 the other week, which was only slightly more than it cost me before Chansiri came. Way less when inflation taken into account. "but you can't pay by card"... well actually you can if you use a system well established for 20 years Gregory another one, it's unfortunate he's frozen out on a human level and his wages are waste costs, but correct me if I'm wrong, most business have some form of waste budget, Escobar provisioned 10% for fucking rats eating his cash. "He told fans to pay tax bill"... but he paid a day later and was clearly posturing in retaliation to protests "He lied and said he was losing £2m a month"... when you read the statement it's very unclear what he was referencing, almost certainly didn't mean given he isn't losing that Appointed Xisco.. but then sacked him and appointed Rohl Got us relegated... but then gave Moore a massive budget for that league and we went back up Another loss in the accounts... ignoring that we're within FFP and very sustainable in comparison to most clubs Do I need to go on?
  4. How about a transfer policy more focussed on younger players with resale value? Investment in the strongest management team I've ever seen at Hillsborough Tieing down promising youth players to long term deals Operating the club comfortably within FFP parameters (something that can't be said for a lot of clubs) I'm not saying everything is sunshine and rainbows - but there is a damn lot to be positive about right now.
  5. Frankly mate, I think you do a good enough job giving people points to tear your "cause" to pieces without me having to make things up in my head. I'd say there is plenty of reasons to suggest a strong victim mindset amongst your group. You have a "desire for change" yet are unable to articulate how or what you'd do differently. And re your last sentence, firstly I've only made a handful of posts here, and secondly I never suggested "nobody wants Chansiri out". Perhaps the "it's simple you know.." song is quite telling for your group - because let's be honest, selling a club isn't bloody simple is.
  6. I don't wanna turn this into a pile on, especially given this is one of my main gripes with the other forum, I respect that you're coming into an area where your opinion is in the minority. But you must see the logic right, and the justifiable criticism of things that come across as unprofessional and amateurish? It's potentially serious stuff you're dealing with here. You've got a group set up, with the purpose of disruption and raising awareness about the shortcomings of the one man who owns and funds the club. Yet you don't have an alternative solution as it's supposedly "not your job". You can't have it both ways. You've caused more division in the fanbase than any other time I've seen. Yet rather than trying to provide suggestions and solutions, you want to position yourselves as these heroic underdogs fighting against the evil oppressive regime. Thankfully a lot of fans see this and are able to look at the bigger picture, it's why (at least in current form) you'll never get a majority of the fanbase on your side.
  7. This has always been my stance. They'll argue it's not their job to find a new owner. But if they deem themselves accountable for ousting the current owner, it isn't unreasonable to expect them to have an alternative strategy in mind. Always taught and been taught to "bring me solutions, not more problems". But this lot just wanna play the victim.
  8. Can I just say how reassuring reading this thread is, actual balanced discussion. I've been exasperated as fk on the other forum on this topic. You say anything even remotely positive or even neutral about Chansiri and you're made out to be the leader of his fan club. Think I'll stay here from now on.
