  1. I feel the need to highlight my intended sarcasm in this post
  2. Nope, he gets critcised for appointing Xisco and criticised because it's theoretically possible Rohl could leave us one day.
  3. Exactly Every phase has been a £25/£35 increase, £1 - £1.50 per game Probably will be for the next one too The idea this is something to be outraged and offended by is fucking exhausting The type of bullshit whinging you'd expect from the pigs but not us, sick of it
  4. Not a new reason for outrage imo, minor increase on phase 3. Multiple and short phases are the valid criticism but seeing the usual shite on twitter and OT to suit the whinging narrative.
  5. "Rohl is going to walk because of the facilities"
  6. It's gonna be the same crap constantly from now on isn' it, every time a club gets bought or invested in it'll be used as justification for protesting.
  7. Yeah thought the same. The more I think about this, they've had to crowdfund all their protests so far and people will at some point stop donating if nothing changes. Hopefully Chansiri realises this and is why he's staying quiet. It might pick up again if we go down - but if we stop up the liklihood is they peaked at the Birmingham game.
  8. Does the FFP three season loss rule reset upon promotion/relegation?
  9. Sounds like every Owlstalk thread. I don't know why I put myself through posting on there sometimes, I'm like a moth to the flame.
  10. I agree We've had bad results under Rohl already and he has always overseen a reaction We'll stop up
  11. After the Plymouth win, if someone offered me that table after these two games I'd probably have taken it.
  12. Sorry mate but I just read all this as noise with some nice buzz words. For people to back your cause, you need to be specific and say exactly what you want to see from the current or new owner, and crucially specify how those things are balanced with ticket prices and FFP.
  13. To add to this, on the topic of phases I messaged Chansiri on LinkedIn about them, amazingly he's polite and open when not being harrassed and ridiculed. He basically said whenever season tickets are on sale for a longer period of time people wait until the last minute to buy them, which is why he does phases. The idea is the same as any short term sale - to try and create urgency. I'm still not convinced it's an optimal way of selling them or the need for so many phases, but I recognise I'm in no place to kick off cause he has the data and there is obviously some logic behind the decision. The most important fact is £460 for an adult season ticket is reasonable, whether we have a day or a year to buy one, we've done early bird for a decade, £460 is the only price that matters for comparison.
  14. Think this is fair As I said earlier in the thread, my experience and that of up to 10,000 others was... "oh season tickets are back on sale" logs on buys season ticket with card (via PayPal) gets on with rest of day Most of those people couldn't give two fucks about using PayPal or future phases.
  15. Season tickets - I agree re the multiple phases feeling silly, especially if we'd gone through the pre Xmas one and I also agree the later phase pricing are very poor. But the facts remain, we have early bird every single year, and we all have the opportunity to buy at similar prices to 10 years ago. So it frustrates me when people use South Stand phase 64 prices to form their arguments. The comparison to our prices a decade ago is a valid point, because rightly or wrongly we've always been one of the more expensive clubs. It would make zero sense to purchase a business and reduce cashflow when fans have consistently shown we are willing to pay upper end. It would be really stupid of him to sell season tickets at £300. So again, the fact we all have the option to renew at similar prices to a decade ago shouldn't be overlooked. Card / Cash payments - agree it's enough to raise an eyebrow and question the club. But my experience and by the sounds of it 10,000+ more was to log on, select season ticket, pay with card via PayPal and job done, no dramas. Perhaps we don't have the same protection with PayPal, I honestly don't know, but given we've had one season in living memory (since the war maybe?) where we couldn't attend games then I won't lose any sleep over this risk. Gregory / Marvin - Like I say, all businesses have some form of wastage costs. I don't think Gregory's wages for a few months (he may still end up playing a part) are particularly significant in our accounts. Also Marvin has been excellent since coming back into the team so it worked well not getting shut when Xisco was here. In terms of the common theme, we had it with Westwood and Hutchinson, with two separate managers, but they were always brought back in when we made a management change so that would suggest it wasn't Chansiri's doing. 2m a month / tax bill - sounds like we're in agreement so I won't labour on this point. His PR is awful, he's overly emotional and over explains himself, I wish he would let someone else do the media as it can be a bit embarrassing. I'll put some of it down to the language barrier (esp £2m comment) but that isn't an excuse for everything. Xisco / DM / Rohl - it probably was as simple as seeing Xisco was cheaper and had a Championship promotion on his CV. Either way he corrected it and the current team are no doubt costing a lot of money. I was neutral to DM leaving, thought he deserved a shot but didn't think he was a particularly good manager, and it sounds like he was trying to be very greedy money wise. The media outbursts were embarrassing but would easily be forgotten in happier times. Accounts - Of course now with the benefit of hindsight we wouldn't have 'gone for it' in 2015-2020 and would have invested that money in the club's infrastructure. But he took the same approach many clubs do, it just didn't pay off for us. There was always going to be some pain if we didn't make it. Now that pain has come in the form of interest payments, but we still have plenty of FFP wiggleroom. So I don't think it's an immediate concern unless he wants to try and claim back some of the capital (if that's even possible). The fact remains we are operating a lot more sustainably than most championship clubs.
