Thought the one year was what he requested?
He inly wanted a 1 year deal.
He's openly said that this is a stepping stone to a better club.
Think the Kasey Palmer incident put the kibosh on him staying, he was proper pissed off about it and they play together for Jamaica.

I can see Bannan getting another contract simply because Chansiri seems to like him
Think Chansiri may have seen the light this season with regard to 'his' players, hence no new contracts yet.

If in the Championship would offer deals to Bannan, Bernard, Iorfa, Vaulks and maybe Palmer.
For League One would add Byers and Johnson to the list.
Undecided on Dawson but would be as number two.
Brennan, Gregory, James, Wilks, Windass and Bakinson to be released regardless of Division and Johnson and Byers if we stay in Championship.
I thought Bambo was on loan. So we need to endure him another year ?
Bambo will take the piss in League One, they don't press properly.
Keep Vaulks.
Bernard won't stay whatever we do.
Iorfa needs to go, too injury prone.
Offer Bannan and Palmer League 1 average pay for a year, take it or leave it. If Bannan wants to do his coaching, he gets £11.44 per hour with the other apprentices.

Barry Bannan hasn't gained us a single point all season.
Can't wait to see his face when the contract he does get offered is for an apprentice coach on £11.44/hour

In theory you can't cancel a DD until the end of the contract
In theory.
There's still enough idiots and misinformation to make it not worth it to the club.
All it takes is someone saying some rubbish like 'terrible football isn't what we paid for, Chansiri promised top 6 football so we don't have to pay' and even a few to believe it and you're screwed.

Tbf the vast majority of our fan base would ignore the noise from others. Watching Wednesday thru thin and thinner is ingrained in them.
Thing is, it doesn't take many charge backs or cancelled DDs to cause more trouble than it's worth.

Yep and most 'haven't attended in years' hypocrites. As you say not for us as things stand.
Bolton do it too.
Same sort of club, upper midtable, flirt with the playoffs, fine if they don't get them or go up.
They're the only type of teams who could realistically pull it off with how fickle and emotional fans get.

I think more will do going forward, we live in a world where many things ‘entertainment’ are paid for that way, so I can see it happening.
It has worked for Hull, but if I’m not mistaken, wasn’t it berated when it was introduced?
You'd need a pretty stable club and fanbase.
Would be lunacy to put it in here, with the entire 'put money into the club, part of the problem' hypocrites persuading people to cancel the DD.

It all went tits up when Diana died.
It suddenly became fashionable to get overemotional about everything and the press found a goldmine fuelling it.

Not a new reason for outrage imo, minor increase on phase 3.
Multiple and short phases are the valid criticism but seeing the usual shite on twitter and OT to suit the whinging narrative.
It's a £25 increase each phase on the Kop, bit more on the others.

think you need to re-do the maths. There'll be two to three Championship matches broadcast live on a Saturday - Midday, 5pm & 8PM (at a guess) - also, there's the bank holiday matches (Christmas & Easter) which count as saturday games
I mean 3pm games.
Originally put that in but changed it, sorry.

Kop proving about as popular as aids.
Should put a small barrier half way up the Kop, make them the most expensive tickets in the ground, then you can charge a fortune for away tickets.

Those numbers leave an average maximum of 19 Saturday games per year per team in the Champ.
We had 28 this season.
Also means a max of about 10 home games on a Saturday.
I already struggle to make non Saturday games as it is, but this is daft.

About as good as it gets tonight.
Only listened to the talksport show in the background, but they were absolutely slating Stoke and Birmingham for how bad they were. Didn't really mention Blackburn, but the scoreline speaks for itself. Bristol on great form now playing Huddersfield next.

Bannan still a key player but the team as a whole suffered when he played cm in a 2 even a few years ago. So even moreso now as he’s still got the quality on the ball but off it he will need younger legs around him. If he stops on next season that will be crucial either the right midfield partner (perhaps Diaby was supposed to do this) or have him as part of a midfield 3. That three we had of Luongo, Bannan and Byers had a bit of everything at L1 level.
On no account should Bannan be starting next season, and it's madness to build another midfield around him.
We've done it for years now and our midfield has been shocking for that entire time.
Sub or gone, with a new midfield.

As the game wore on, Bannan drifted to the left, where he always was more effective and did better.
In the first half though, he wasn’t at it at all.
You knew it was going wrong when he hit the no look pass across the pitch and out of touch in the first couple of minutes.
When he's under pressure he always drifts left, that's the problem as he leaves whoever else is there up shit creek with 3/4 of the pitch to cover.

Our defenders get hammered, but look at the options opposition defenders have to pass to compared to ours.
The midfield should be creating passing opportunities and getting in space.
Also, how many times has an opposition player got the jump on Bannan from behind this season when he's receiving the ball from a defender and slow to react? You can tell they're watching for it.

I don't think it will be an up and at em style v Stoke ( well not to start with).
You get the inkling Rohl wants us to play football the pass and move way, that you can't really sustain the direct style for 90 minutes.
I mean with a bit more precision then Norwich could have scored 2 or 3 on the counter in the 2nd, as much as us scoring the 2 we did.
Our nice let's play football style plays into the hands of the top teams. I keep repeating Rohl has almost too much belief in our players abilities.
We have a side built for sitting in and counterattacking, but try to pass it about and get hit on the counter every time ourselves.

I said to my mate Wilko needed to be giving the half time team talk.
That first half is on Rohl. For how good he has been he has dropped a few with dodgy line ups and formations. That back four and the tactics employed were up there with the worst I have seen at any level. These players are paid professionals and cannot control or pass a ball. If I never see Bambo kick a ball again it will be too soon.
As for the midfield of Bannan and Palmer. F@@k me that's as bad as it gets in this Division as a two , coupled with the non entity that is Windass.
Onto the second half and will definitely take the point. Inspired by Pato. If fit every line up should have him in. Probably my favourite 'limited' player ever. Honourable mention to Smith and young Bailey who released his inner Pato.
Finally how does Pol V not get in the starting line up.
Wednesday seem to have had this habit for the last couple of years of playing the 'better' players, the 'footballers' and losing.
Then we bring in the shithouses, get some results on the board and suddenly think "just think how good we'd be if we had a couple of the 'better' players back in the side and get battered again.

Isn't that what Pep said to him though?
You're a great player but if you want first team football this season you're going to have to do it somewhere else.
