HoylandOwl Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 Five subs allowed from 7…. it’s been confirmed. Thoughts? Quote
M42Owl Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 More substitutes is advantageous to the bigger clubs with the bigger squads and greater strength in depth. So in principle, I’m against it, but as we’re one of the bigger clubs in L1, I’m all in favour. 1 1 Quote
MAL Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 Totally against it. Just gives teams with money, or the relegated teams with bigger budgets to fill their squad and keep everybody happy. Leaves all the "Smaller" clubs with even less chance. They are trying their best to stop it being a fair league. I would put it back down to two. Quote
mkowlthesexynewversion Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 Like it - gives me more opportunity to boo the shit players off The fact it is detrimental to small clubs - fuck em Quote
Skamp Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 Why not swap the entire team when defending a corner, call a time out when the ball crosses the half way line and change to an attack minded team. Gt a corner, and then wait for the opposition to do the same. We could even call it 'defence' and 'offence' if you like MK will be home about 2 in the morning following a 3pm k.o Quote

Stop pissing about with what we used to think was 'our' game. If it ain't broke... stop pissing about with it for the sake of it. Quote
LiamOwl Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 Don’t like it. Removes the jeopardy of making subs, puts less importance on team selection, and most importantly will just about put a stop to one of my favourite parts of the game, outfielders in goal. Quote

LiamOwl Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 We’ll still have ‘keepers coming up for corners, MAL 😁 Quote

HappyOwl Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 Hilarious when Stuart Pearce brought David James on up front for last 10 minutes 😂😂😂 Quote

MPB Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 Doesn't this add yet more, potentially unneeded in game tinkerin to the equation? Quote

HoylandOwl Posted June 11, 2022 Author Posted June 11, 2022 Something else I’d not noticed re changes next season too… Clubs will also now be allowed to wear change strips for home games, or to mix and match different elements of their kits, in order to avoid kit clashes for colour-blind supporters. Quote
Skamp Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Surely that's the responsibility of the away team. More meddling to be able to sell 'alternative home kits' to the fans. Quote

How is that going to work? The ref has always decided on possible kit clashes although Sky get involved if the game is televised. Will a 'tourist' complain that they've paid £30 for a ticket but couldn't tell which team was which? Or is it gonna be used as a marketing ploy for a 4th kit? Stripes for the home shirt but a predominantly blue shirt (white pin stripes or white sleeves) that'll be worn twice. Quote
