We all know not to look on stalk. Although there is some fun in poking the alternative view when the bullshit merchants talking shite on there. Tbh though I soon get bored of that game these days.
It’ll be intriguing to see how the doom merchants on there deal with a good summer in the transfer market and a strong start to the season.

But what if the world ends in November so you don't get the full benefits of the whole season.

Ponzi Scheme innit

To give a serious answer my view is that the membership scheme should be a full on Supporters Club set up. Strengthen the brand of it.

You would have say

Corporate / Platinum level

Gold membership (effectively season ticket holders)

Standard membership - basically the above

Affiliate membership

- so sub groups

Arned services

Overseas owls

Students

London Owls

Women's Team

So slightly cheaper and you are restricted to say 2 home games per season, but gives that sense of belonging but reflects your access to games is limited

Throw in exclusive on line content

The Supporters Club becomes the umbrella for all the groups and it elects a fan advisory board member

See news story on how the Wolves fans have turned round intended season ticket hikes

Seems to me the relationship between the owners and the fans can be constructive if there are grown up debates

And whilst membership is for each season then the end date for renewing would be 31st December.

What destroyed the value of the membership was the ability of fans to steam roll in last minute to access Wembley tickets. Great for short term cash flow, shite for long term brand value.

So I didn't renew membership last season because I went all basic price over value and determined that if I had to attend 10 home matches it wasn't worth it.

Easier to do when you have Premier League millions and not the limited losses in the Football League. Losses that are still the same as they were several seasons ago which just allows the parachute clubs to have it even easier.

Also your earlier point about supporters groups. Why get better discount if you happen to be in a club. It's Bollocks. You could end up having to join "the tvvats that stole our collective name" just to get a discount.

What if you don't want to be in said London Owls/ Womens/ overseas etc? You are opening the gates to powertrips that the likes of band-dick and Stalknob are already on.
