This is no real surprise.  Crowds of 150 to 200 make things very difficult.

I live in the area and don't go and Coached at Park Steels Juniors too.

The set up is all wrong.  The Club House is a separate entity as is Stocksbridge Park Steels Juniors with very little tie in other than name.  Different Committees have tried and failed to get a true link.

SPSFC publicise having guests from Junior Football teams but not actual Stocksbridge Juniors teams.  All a bit strange.

The Cricket Club above is stand alone as well.  Ideally the Senior and Juniors football along with the Club House and Cricket should come under the Stocksbridge Sports Club umbrella to make things work better and get more but in from the community.

Look over the hill at Penistone Church at how a Community Club should be run.

It'll be a shame if it goes belly up, used to enjoy going to the pre season games up there and the odd reserve match too. Always seemed a decent little club.

Aye, I didn't mind John Hills as a player, tried hard, not the best, not the worst. Enjoyed that streaker at S6 IIRC (think that was the last time I saw a streaker at a game too)
