CasbahOwl Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 QPR have this morning posted losses of £20M+ for the second consecutive season ....... No idea what this means or if it's even worthy of debate? Quote
Reesh Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 Means they should be subject to a deduction potentially. Quote
Billysboy Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 Surely that's 40 million plus over 3 years, arnt you only allowed 39 million? Quote
Tylluan Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 (edited) QPR brokered a deal with the EFL to pay their last FFP breach fine off over a period of 10 years. They've missed at least the last 2 payments and have missed a 4 week deadline to pay up. they should be picking up a 10 point deduction for that alone. The new, possible, FFP breach might not come in until next season Edited February 20, 2024 by Tylluan Quote

Tewksbury Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 They're fine. The built a new training ground or something like that. They got some sponsorship money in Jan for stand naming too. They also had a decent offer for Chair that they could have taken to balance the books if needed. They're really going to struggle next season though Quote

CasbahOwl Posted February 20, 2024 Author Posted February 20, 2024 According to companies house: - 2020 - £16,393,000 2021 - £4,114,000 2022 - £24,667,000 2023 - £20,337,000 That is a loss of £49,118,000 over the last three years Quote
owl4ever1867 Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 If that had been Chansiri & Wednesday there would be a press conference before Saturday's game saying we've been hit with a 10 point deduction. Quote
Reesh Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 Reading a bit more in depth on QPR it appears after add backs of certain costs they will fall under the £39m 1 Quote

The owners have said they're fine for FFP, they're still within it this season. The extra losses all went on infrastructure, some spent on a stand and a new training facility. So they should be OK unless the EFL pulls the rug out like Everton. Quote
CasbahOwl Posted February 20, 2024 Author Posted February 20, 2024 Which years accounts will this be taken from when it’s eventually paid? 2 hours ago, Tylluan said: QPR brokered a deal with the EFL to pay their last FFP breach fine off over a period of 10 years. Supercockle Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 I see Chair has been sentenced to 1 year in jail. He’s been a decent player for them this season. Quote
