Andyben
At least he didn't put his name on the seats
mkowl
What would have been funnier, that he had taken them over then this happened I can't believe a Nigerian didn't actually have the money in the account. That or he used a Xero automatic bank feed
Tylluan
Why oh why couldn't he have persuaded the EFL he was fit and proper and taken over

tomcore
Dozy by name... It would have been brilliant to email fans about 15m quid inheritances. Probably our season ticket prices next year.
Owling_Wolf
I think this bloke now goes into the file marked, 'If only'. It already contains Sam Hashimi / Samantha Kane / Charles Kane, (or whatever he's called this week), who came within an ace of becoming their owner: the Iraqi multiple sex change businessman. (No-one would notice nowadays!) Also Reg Brearley, the actual owner, who India apparently wanted to be extradited over alleged problems with his firms pension fund there. (Just from memory.) And whatever the one after him was called, who fled overseas to apparently avoid legal issues and became a fugitive. (Memory ditto.)

Sam/ Samantha was never a serious contender , he was a front for Reg Brearley to force fraudster Paul Woolhouse's hand . Woolhouse kept telling Brearley he wanted to buy them but never came up with the money so his hand was forced and his scrap company's funds disappeared
