HoylandOwl Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Just seen online that today is the 47th birthday of a former Owl, not one who will be remembered as the best... Paul McLaren. Go on.... Fire away. Thoughts of his time with us? Quote

Kiwi Owl Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 (edited) From memory, he was all set to sign for Cardiff City who were becoming big spenders under Sam Hamann, but we came in with an offer and he ended up signing for us instead. Missing out on Mclaren, they went and signed Graham Kavanagh from Stoke Wasn't a dreadful player from memory but suffered from the losing mentality within the club.
