Southend winding up order deferred

Recommended Posts

Just come out that Southend have 'won' a 42 day deferral on their winding up order.

Puts the National League in a dilemma as they're now debating whether to allow Southend to start the season. Brackley are kicking off that if Southend are kicked out then they want moving up but that would affect the whole pyramid.

Southend have been under a transfer embargo since January. They only have 13 registered players, who haven't been paid since May. Some staff members haven't been paid for 4 months. The water has been turned off at the training ground so players are training at home and just meeting for the friendlies
