Big mistake by them then.

Most of the time our players try and control the ball and fail miserably, this time it will not be there as it will have had an awkward bounce and bobble...

So they will now be controlling it with ease, when it bounce up onto their foot in the correct place.

Our officials this weekend…

Ref: DEAN WHITESTONE
Assistants: Lee Venamore and Andrew Aylott
Fourth Official : Darren Handley

Our ref this weekend has officiated 34 games, showing 100 yellow cards and only 3 players were dismissed by him.

Last time he reffed us….
Our 0-0 draw with Derby back in December. He cautioned two players, both on the home side.

The last game he reffed….Was over in S2 a few nights ago.

Head to Head record v Shrewsbury

Wednesday wins. 4

Draws. 13

Shrews wins. 7

Last time out at whatever sponsor the new meadow has these days.

DM has confirmed.

Wilks and Famewo, done for the season through injury.

What a disaster Wilks has been. He’s been available for 17 games this season.

Famewo has missed 20 games this season, plus another 5.

And when he has been available and got involved. He's probably played a positive part in no more than 10 at MOST of those games.

He's got the ability, but.... Far from effective enough.

Be interesting to see those available stats for a few others eg Byers, Windass.

Byers, by the end of the season will have been unavailable for 22 games.

Windass has so far missed 10 league games.

Ihiekwe has missed 23 games.

Heneghan has missed 33 games, but will be 35/38.

James has missed 13 games, and potentially 2 more.

In other words, we have a load of crocks and cripples who can’t do 40 games a season.

Of the 22 Byers has missed how did we get on?

It might sound silly this. But we need to play today with our eye on the results.

If we get to 55 minutes, and we see that Ipswich and Plymouth are home and dry, I am subbing all the key players. So that means, Bannan and Vaulks, Smith, Johnson and probably Flint. They won’t kick another ball until the playoffs.

Yeah I agree. Was on about this the other day with someone, let Shipston, Durrant etc get some game time. And not 3 mins at the end

It seems to me our season went to shit the day Chansiri stood up in the directors box and waved the flag. Clearly not cause and effect, but my superstitious belief if we ever get ahead of ourselves it invariably goes tits up.

The only celebration we should have is when we mathematically avoid relegation each season

Isn't there rules about playing weekened sides - especially as Derby are involved in stuff

If there isn't they will invent one and deduct us enough points to finish 7th or even into the bottom four

No as I previously admitted it's my fault.

In fact, my last season living in Sheffield was 96/97 when we finished 7th in the PL...

But I'm not moving back

When I lived in England, and was going home and away every week, I would bet on Wednesday the lose and United to win as a double in either a bookie on Hillsborough corner, or, a bookie on the way to an away ground. A tenner at a time, sadly I made more than I lost.
