Ozzie Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 If it wasn't for Putins bribe we'd have had some stadium and would be on that list. Real shame on the City that the home of football isn't shouted about. Huge amount of money would come into the City if it was done right and thus progress it, would be a great boost. Quote
Hirstys 12th Pint Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Would all five 'host' Countries get automatic qualification or has that been done away with ? Quote
Andyben Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Why bother doing it with the micks? Gonna be a reyt arse logistically due to differing entry requirements Quote

Man City's ground was built for the commonwealth games (admittedly it's had some money chucked at it since), shame Sheffield Council lacks ambition. As previously stated if the Council had promoted the "Home of football" then how could it be left out if it had a stadium capable? If we did get it the parking enforcement companies would be rivalling City bankers for bonuses. Quote

Andyben Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Less to do with the stadia, more the lack of amenities required. And every city on that list beats Sheffield hands down on this component Quote
Hirstys 12th Pint Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Sheffield would not have enough hotel rooms to satisfy the requirements of a host City. Quote
Skamp Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Not even an airport Fucking joke of an organisation is Sheffield City Council. 1 Quote
