  1. I'm convinced that the McClure's are behind or involved in this. They have just name checked Rev in response to being asked to state who has made offers for the club, when & how much. Apparently these been loads of offers and he knows...
  2. Anyone read the "letter" published on Twitter this weekend? https://twitter.com/The1867Group/status/1697731059561968002?t=0SgnTVNJ99RkNdVwvsy0Jw&s=09 Thoughts? Mine are, it starts by saying "we do not engage in personal abuse", calls his decision making "callous" then quickly moves on to talk of protests and boycotts. It looks like it was written in the pub by a group of men without an A level between them who just want to get away from their lasses for a couple of hours. But the biggest crime...Centre Alignment! It'll fire up some of the keyboard warriors for sure, but really, if you're going to organise a protest group shouldn't you at least have a basic level of competence?
  3. Just read that according to Deloitte, Championship clubs have brought in £460m in transfer fees this summer. But 65% of that has gone to Southampton, Leicester and Leeds. Systems fucked isn't it?
  4. Read Ty's post again, watch both clips again, think about the context of each again and if you still think like this after doing that, you'll still be wrong.
  5. Given the players who didn't play for Spain in the WC and the reactions to this incident afterwards and also Ty's comments about the coach, I suspect that there is a hell of a story that's going to emerge at some point. The culture was/is clearly toxic. I'm not sure why people don't understand that this happening at a WC final presentation is big news. You could also say why did Harvey Weinstein's activities make the British news when they happened in America? Equally stupid. As for the horse racing image, clearly consensual, just a bit of whataboutery.
  6. I expect a striker to be signed. A young PL striker or following the mould of the recent signings, someone that we haven't heard of that's a bit younger than what we have and a bit more dynamic. If we get that and a couple of others in, we'll be fine (just). I expect and I'm willing to expect staying up on the last game of the season and I don't think the season will go much better than that.
  7. That's just beer prices going up though, not something that DC is orchestrating. My mate works for Carlsberg and they've gone out twice so far this year with increases to the pubs, the first time per barrel averaged at just under 50p per pint and right now they're going out with another 40p. I do take your point about better places to drink for the price but it's not really the clubs fault that beer prices are going up.
  8. I think what paints Man Utd in a bad light is the lingering impression that they were looking at every way possible to reinstate him into the squad and only buckled due to the pressure from the women's groups etc. Their statement also hints that Harriet Robson only told a part of the story on social media - really there was no need for them to come out with something like that. On the other hand - they're going to try and offload him (which apparently could cost them up to £10m) and he's going to go and play for some other club, probably in Europe so they've lost one of their top rated young players and who knows, he could end up back in the Premier League scoring against them in 2-3 years time, so they've lost out in this situation but their loss is someone else's gain. I disagree with Neville saying that Man Utd aren't equipped to deal with a situation like this and that there should be an independent body. They have money and access to the best Employment Law legal services possible. It's a question of leadership, they've got there in the end at least but their comms haven't been great over the last few months.
  9. I've seen Black Honey a couple of times and they're great live, she's a really good frontperson and I love their 50's inspired sound. Was going to watch them at Bingley Festival this weekend but due to late running they ended up on at exactly the same time as Noel Gallagher was on the main stage so there were about 4 people watching them. The next night, King No One were up against Ian Brown but they had a big crowd, as much as anything I guess because Brown was spectacularly crap.
  10. Strange that when Real Madrid have a gaping whole in their attack for a goal scorer to replace Benzema, they totally ignore "England Legend" Harry Kane, preferring to sign Newcastle cast off Joselu instead. It's almost as though they don't actually think that he's good enough for them.
  11. You've just described Michelle Mone.
  12. That sounds like a good way to spend a lunch hour to me!
  13. Just seen Elanga to Forest for £15m - seems steep, lad hasn't really done much has he? That said, the Lingard signing worked out so well for them.
  14. Course they have, not a rival for the Champions League, no brainer for them really. Only issue is that he'll be sold on to Real Madrid in a year.
