  1. All being well start at Ealing, couple of jars, go to Alperton for a bit of Indian scran, walk the last 30 mins or so taking in a couple of boozers. Job done.
  2. It's gonna be fun when Everton escape relegation too. The teams that go down, plus a few others are ready to drop their letters to the PL demanding immediate action against them over their finances. It could get very messy and a bit expensive.
  3. Ancelotti asked Vini if he wanted to carry on playing, putting the onus back on the young player. He should have made the decision for him and taken the team off. Bellingham IMO has the strength of character to lead a team off, RM need a strong manager like Mourinho or Zidane to back the players in these situations.
  4. I think, from reading Twitter, that the club's revenue team have played a blinder. Basically they've "allowed" folks to pay £30 to jump the queue so why wouldnt they? But from looking at the plans and the complaints, they seem to have let them book the £30 and £40 up in the Gods tickets so now they're getting £60 and £70 for those, which would probably have been the last to go normally. Then they've waited for them to be snapped up, then released tickets in the middle section a few hours later. Good revenue management...questionable fan relations but from a business perspective, I can see the sense in doing it.
  5. I heard it and to be fair, it was a very good message.
  6. Someone on Twitter just said if you buy a membership today it counts, so you can buy tickets tomorrow? Anyone know if thats right?
  7. 100% the same...I fall squarely into the plastic category now after not going to S6 since just before Covid and relying on IPTV. Frankly I don't deserve a ticket over someone who's been more. I'll try on Thursday and if I get one, great...but if not then that's fair and it'll be beer and IPTV for me. That said, i've booked a train ticket already, just in case.
  8. So many interesting things about Palmers goal.. - For all Ferguson's moaning about time, the throw in drops to Clarke-Harris on the floor, if he boots that away into touch it's a strong bet that the ref would blow for full time and Peterborough are going to Wembley. Instead he miskicks it and it rolls out to Bannan. If Fergie wants to pin the blame somewhere, he needs to look at his Captain. - Bannan probably saw that ball coming to him and fancied a shot and we've all seen him ping them in from there, but we've seen them sail high and wide too, with the stakes that high he keeps such a cool head and lays off a lovely ball to Marv. - At Posh, at 2-0 down we had that attack in their box and Marv sent over a woeful floaty cross, right over everyone's head, they go down the wing and score straight away. I was fuming at him. This time he does the same, sends in a floaty cross, but it's a peach, just the right weight and again, cool as a cucumber to choose that option. - Flint, it's still not an easy cross to deal with, but he uses his experience to get up and nod it back straight into the danger zone, instead of trying to do something stupid like score himself and again, it's a perfect header. - Palmer, he's been CM all night, WTF is he doing in the CF position? But there he is, and just watch his movement to get in front of the defender to get to the ball first, it's like he's been a striker all his life. I keep watching that goal back, for the reaction, the scenes, but also...in its way, although it's a scruffy finish it's a perfect goal, made even more perfect because it was so avoidable by Posh, they had 1 and 3/4 feet in Wembley and fooked it up.
  9. I missed it, was on a plane back from Crete and landed at 1am, first thing I did was check the phone, 90% expecting to see that we hadn't done it...I was absolutely amazed when I read what we'd done. I started watching the videos at baggage reclaim, then started again when I got home and stopped at around 4am when I thought I should probably get some sleep. I've loved reading the tweets/watching the vids, that atmosphere looked unreal - kudos to the club, team and fans for making it happen. Now just don't fook it up Wednesday.
  10. On that subject DM says no decision has been taken about contracts for Sam Durrant or Ryan Galvin for next season. Risky approach IMO if he does want to keep them, and even riskier if he doesn't want to but might need to use them at times during the play offs as they'll either be extra motivated or turn into FDB's.
  11. If DC sacks him now he won't have anyone lined up for 5-6 weeks so we'd be going into the play offs with a caretaker manager, more than likely being one of the current coaching staff. I can't see that working, so it's DM until end of season then out as far as I'm concerned.
  12. Ched Evans hit by potentially life changing karma injury and won't play again, at least not this season.
  13. I know it's not even that close but I read it as them trialling "safe hanging areas" and given the owners, it made sense!
  14. We could do all that, but Wednesday being Wednesday, we'd start off with grand designs and end up with a soulless bowl.
  15. Slightly harsh, even the Fail didn't go that far!
  16. Would cost a pretty penny and who wants a soulless bowl?
  17. The reporter who started this all off is now claiming to be utterly vindicated and wondering if he'll get an apology from Wednesday. How about...No, now fuck off.
  18. Tbf, although it's been ages since I bothered to watch it, it always felt like warts and all as some of the audience members struggled to form basic sentences, not to mention some of the panel members.
  19. Lineker 1 - Aunty Beeb 0. It's just a ridiculous situation really and totally of the Beeb's own making. Richard Sharp will be lucky to survive this and they look incredibly stupid given the stuff that Alan Sugar posts, Fiona Bruce's undoubted Tory bias (see husband) and how they have responded to previous written complaints. When this all comes out, as it will in time, there will undoubtedly by Govt Ministers hands all over it.
  20. His full name is Ivan Benjamin Elijah Toney, making his initials I.B.E.T.
  21. Sort of off topic but until last night I didn't realise Ashley Carson's connection to the Brinks Mat robbery. He did quite well out of it.
  22. Very true. Mafia from more than one country as well. Still, it's helped to pay for the new roads.
  23. Barry Bannan 21k at number 1 when he's publicly stated that this is bollocks makes you think that the rest of it is garbage and most likely guesswork too.
