Bank holiday, went to Roman Legion exhibition at British Museum. Currently helping a mate move some printing equipment as a favour. Tonight going to see When Rivers Meet in Islington. Thursday flying to Spain for a week. After that Euros, cricket, whatever…pre season friendlies maybe.

Trying to get Ugbo permanently is a no brainer surely? He’s a finisher, but I was also reasonably impressed with his hold up play and decision making when played out wide.

We finished up second on average away attendance, 59 behind you know who…

Every other result went against us yet again. Not a single penalty all season for the first time in 58 years. 50 points turned out not to be enough. Record breaking bad start. Doesn’t fucking matter. We’ll be seeing all these teams again next season, and we should be looking at the other half of the table. 👏👍🫡👊

Funny half. Röhl may be giving a bollocking or two at half time🤨. Sunderland as bad as many people said they would be and very much there for the taking. Too much sloppy play from us though, and it’s giving them the faintest sniff. Good 15 minutes at start of the second half and its job done.

RIP. I don’t think I ever saw him play. My first two games were at the end of his final season, but by then the two forwards was some combination of Pearson, Mculloch and Bannister.

To be honest, players rotating into the false 8 position is what we’ve needed for years, and I have said so myself on many occasions. 😉

I’m cautiously in favour. It should increase the competitiveness of the Premier League, while moving more in the direction of an NFL style model where teams actually make a profit. It will reduce the Premier League “dominance” of the Champions League…err right. Does also mean that if we can get into the Premier League, with a decent coach, and a scouting set up worthy of the name, there would be realistic hope of doing more than survive within two or three seasons.

Could do without Ipswich winning at Hull. The extra insurance of Hull and Norwich still having something to play for next weekend would be welcome.

Ipswich play midweek against Coventry. If they win their next two games they don’t need anything against Huddersfield.
If they win their next two matches, they will still have a chance of winning the league.

You’ve got to question how up for it West Brom will be next week. They are almost guaranteed play offs, and with nothing to play for PNE at home on the last day of the season they’ve got a bit of insurance. Not sure they’ll match our work rate if we really go at ‘em.

Whatever happens next week, we go into the last week of the season with a chance of staying up. And all of Birmingham, Udders, Plymouth and Blackburn have their final game of the season against teams at the top of the table, who should have something to play for.

Wonderful. Just fucking wonderful. 👍

Superb piece of bribery Mr Chansiri 👍🤣👏

And Szmodics gets a yellow. Time for Pato’s shithousery….

Strange first half. Good start. Their equaliser seemed to suck the wind out of us. Then a really flat spell with not much happening for either. Then a decent last 15 minutes where we had a bit of control without creating that much. Think the subs could be crucial. We’ve got more on the bench. They’ve got Szmodics.

Yeah, not like it was a guy we needed to be keeping an eye on…

Superb fight between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney last night. Garcia’s post fight interview was entertaining as well 🤣

Put out the flags. Toytown did us a favour. Win tomorrow and we’re out of the bottom three.

You'd be wrong.
Yes we are top but the 3rd placed team (them ***** from S2) have 5 games in hand on us and Brum who are 2nd.
Now 2 points ahead of Brum with a better goal difference, and both sides having 3 games left. Pigs a point behind Brum but with 3 games in hand and a far better goal difference than both. Our lads play the grunters away on Thursday, after they play one of their games in hand against Charlton on Monday.

FA cup final to be played on the penultimate week of Premier League season 🤮. Yep we don’t want attention being drawn away from the traditional conclusion of the English football season, the Premier League relegation battle and “race for fourth”.

It really is a bit of a shit stirring rag these days. “Threadbare squad”. They have to report everything relating to Wednesday in the worst possible light. I can easily believe that Röhl would ideally like to replace 20 players. I would love it if he did. But it won’t happen because he is constrained by what can be realistically achieved given time frame and budget. The business he did in January was excellent. Let’s see.
