  1. They need to hook Ihiekwe now. Vardy is destroying him, he’s a foul away from a red. Gassama is being destroyed by Ricardo down our left. Johnson is going narrow and Gassama is not following Ricardo back.
  2. An absolute embarrassment of an error from Beadle. Appalling.
  3. That was a lovely goal. Ugbo is good in the air, and that was a perfect ball by Johnson to drop it on top of a small full back.
  4. Odd half. They look a good side, and have gone after us. But, Ugbo and Poveda have caused problems and we could be 3-up. Diaby could have been hooked after 15 minutes, but got better as the game wore on. That said, he’s not comfortable receiving the ball with his back to goal and Bacuna fancies it against him over 5 yards. Gassama and Valentin have been poor. The Brum right back has taken Gassama apart both ways. Crititcal first 10.
  5. Aye. He stepped down after the Accounting fraud. The company's annual report revealed in a section on related party transactions that during the course of last year, WANdisco agreed to pay more than $360,000 (£280,000) to sponsor Sheffield Wednesday FC next season. The agreement was struck on behalf of EyUp Skills Limited, a company owned by Mr Richards and his wife, Jane. A further identical sum is payable "contingent on certain post-year end outcomes", the annual report said. Its all part of the same deal.
  6. So. The previous sponsor and this sponsor are linked. EyUp is a startup owned by David Richards. David Richards was co founder at WanDisco. WanDisco rebranded and became Cirata.
  7. I’ll say this. If we were sat in 13th place, there wouldn’t be a murmur of noise from these supporters who are protesting against Chansiri’s stewardship of the club. Not. A. Peep. When things go wrong on the football pitch, football fans, and Sheffield fans in particular, want to point the finger and make someone culpable. How’s the song go? ’We’re a right set of bastards when we lose.’
  8. I’m missing out on a title deciding Futsal game tonight to watch this (nothing to do with me having my wisdom teeth out yesterday). I think we will win tonight.
  9. I’ve said before. Chansiri’s biggest mistakes were in the past, particularly the points deduction which was 100000% his fault. Yes, he showed short termism, but what Chairman doesn’t in the Championship. Yes, he’s made some bad managerial appointments and we’ve signed some bad players. But, that’s normal, and that happens at a way higher level than we are. I genuinely do think that he has learned his lesson. He backed Moore to the hilt to get us up. Our accounts look way rosier now than they probably have done in a long time in terms of income and expenditure, and he’s clearly keeping a close eye on this. if he openly admits he wants to sell, someone has to meet the asking price, and do all the paperwork around taking control of the club. I’m struggling to understand what the protest against his running of the club is supposed to achieve? Are people annoyed that he sacked Moore? Are people annoyed he didn’t splurge 20 million? Are people annoyed about the season ticket prices - when they are in line with the rest of the league? Are people annoyed about the relegation battle - that was expected? I do agree that Chansiri needs to clarify what his long term vision is, it’s not a matter of appeasement, but more related to us as supporters understanding what the end goal is and how he thinks we can achieve it.
  10. In terms of Forestieri, if he’s willing to come on a pay as you play, he can’t be any worse than what we have now. Would fit the 10, although his best position was always the left of a front three.
  11. I like Onomah. High energy, box to box and very mobile.
  12. I’ll make a bold prediction. Five of the next six are against teams around us. If we pick up less than 6 points in those games. Chansiri will fire Röhl. Chansiri has not planned for league one football next year. Now to flip that, Rohl gets a free hit this season. Aside from the four signings in Jan, this is not his team, he didn’t have a say on who stayed and went in the summer, played no role in pre-season and hasn’t defined what a long term strategy is. And I’d like to see that. I said when we appointed him that whilst we want to stop up, it was unlikely due to the fitness and quality of the squad, but what I wanted to see was a plan of how we will play. We’ve got that, and at times we have looked a good side. So, he’s earned a full pre-season and a go next year regardless of what division we end up in. But… I am not convinced he will get that chance.
  13. I watched it last night and the two centre halves and two central midfield players were awful. Coventry spotted that and went right down the middle at us. Diaby and Vaulks were so slow to react, that by the time they’d stepped out, it had created a pocket of space behind them and they were caught in no mans land. Second half. They stayed in, and constantly the two centre halves and two midfield players got in each others way. That was then compounded by our two centre halves being susceptible to short passes down the sides even with the full backs narrow. Because the row central midfield players were so deep. We didn’t keep any possession at all and we even had scenarios where wingers were having to come into the centre of midfield to just see the ball. Last night was a combination of league one players dealing with a very mobile good Championship side, but because of Fridays monster, not really being able to do much else.
  14. Lack of mobility next to him and no-one who can keep the ball.
  15. Coventrys midfield has run riot. O’hare and Palmer have made our two look like pub players.
  16. Vaulks and Diaby have been atrocious and I mean that in the nicest possible sense.
  17. City will now have their obligatory unbeaten run to the end of the season.
  18. I agree with everything you have said Ty. Our fans seem to think that it’s our right to be in the prem, and they think by driving the owner out, it will allow that to happen. The fact is that our ONLY two years of actual success in the last 25 years have come under him. Yes, he dropped the ball on the points deduction, but beyond that point, what has he actually done wrong that other owners haven’t also done. Bad managerial appointments? They all do that. Bad transfers? Yep, they all do that. We can’t even argue that he’s not backed our managers. Darren Moore signed something like 25 players. This season we have brought in more than 10. He’s got the wage bill down, we aren’t in any danger of FFP, and we actually have academy players knocking on the door. As you have said, we actually only owe money to the owner. There is no third party involved. If he decides to sell, it’s a doddle to do a deal because you pay him for the lot.
  19. Gassama doesn’t drop in. In a midfield three the most advanced has to play both ways. Gassama works as a 10 without defensive responsibility, but with it, especially away from home, he doesn’t work. Away from home, we have two 10’s in a three. Bannan and Windass. At home you can open up a bit.
  20. He’s been hurt by Windass not being available again. When he plays as a 10 he drops in when the other team has the ball an occupies the deep midfield player. I made a comment that if we didn’t sign a 6, we had to sign a 10. We’ve got one now, so let’s see what happens. On Vaulks, it’s an odd one. He should play. I understand Diaby not playing. At 46 I’m more mobile.
  21. Can we please absolve the current coach from this mess and give him a pass, at least until next August. He is not to blame for the summers recruitment, he’s not to blame for the players not being nearly good enough for this level. IF he reshapes the squad and we seem the same issues, no worries. He has a clear way he wants to play, but because of our piss poor squad, he’s had to play a striker as a 10, has a load of shit central midfield players he didn’t sign, and a defensive unit with very little Championship level cover. I’ll make this very clear. Munoz has done us.
  22. Rinse and repeat. Forcing someone out will not solve any problem. Chansiri will go when someone makes an offer for the club. Provides proof of funds to the owner and does due diligence on the accounts. Agrees price. Completes the fit and proper test. What these groups don’t understand is that he would happily sell. But someone has to come forward to sell too and the Bobs Carpets and John the Car Washer, who they would propose, haven’t got the beans to even but a brick in the South Stand.
  23. It’s both boxes. Teams don’t have to work hard to score against us. We get behind and down the side of teams multiple times a game and make very little of it. Both boil down to quality. Doing the basics defensively, and then making the right decision in attacking areas, and that’s both with a final ball or final run.
  24. I agree Ty. You can’t blame Rohl for the squad. That’s down to DC and Xisco. But, DC needs to have a two way commitment with Rohl. One that he’s not blaming him for this season, but, that Rohl commits to next season. You and I both know that Chansiri will not do that. And I would not be shocked if Rohl isn’t here next weekend. What Rohl says post game will be interesting.
