Sorry if I’ve missed it, Morgan Fox has signed for QPR.

I think it might be the last time we see Anderson in an England shirt full stop.

Gutted!! Absolutely gutted for Jonny Bairstow who is denied his 100 after Jimmy was out LBW.
Bairstow was unbeaten on 99 (81 balls) what an outstanding innings by England.
England 592 all out.
Australia trial England by 275 runs....
Lovely for his average though 😅

That must be a bit of a buzz to run in to bowl in an Ashes test from the end of the ground named after you.

I know it will never happen, but until it does there will be constant ticket price inflation, TV subscription inflation, merchandise inflation. And interesting overseas owners who throw money at it until they run out and fuck off leaving a mess.
That is why the power needs to be redressed by a competent regulator
Every other debate just leaves fans arguing either amongst themselves or against rivals
I suppose I saw the light a little in that era pre covid. I can almost tie it back to Fletcher coming on as a sub and going off not giving a shit 5 minutes later.
Fletcher was the player that flicked the switch for me too MK. Not that it was his fault.
I’d had a 3 year season ticket and paid for it over 2, so sort of felt like I’d been for free that last season. I’d to find £500 to go watch Wednesday for the year, and so had 79 others just to pay this bloke for a week.
It’s daft really because at 50% or 25% of those reported £40,000 a week wages the imbalance is still clear but it just felt like a step too far. -
…and been spotted in Sheffield today apparently

So either replace him or don’t? Yeah I agree.

They did. There was only 6 songs from last two albums, including the version of Star Treatment.
The most recent album has been out 8/9 months, it’s not like it came out last week.
I thought the whole set was fantastic but Body Paint in particular was incredible. What a masterpiece.

This is a long one.
Firstly, if the owner has done this without a plan, it’s taking a big risk. 14 senior pros with two to still sign, an aging squad that needs young bodies. A play of win that shortens our recruitment window… it’s a taking a chance.
So let me start by what I have heard. There are two things. I was in corporate at Wembley and an ex player was on a neighbouring table who said that DC had ‘fired’ Moore after the loss at Peterborough. But Moore and some of the players had convinced him otherwise. Then, in the furore of last night, I was told by someone that Moore was unhappy about being told he was losing control of transfers. Moore submitted his list, DC didn’t agree, DC submitted a separate list, Moore didn’t agree. They agreed to part terms.
What’s my opinion? I do think Moore deserved a go. The cold facts are that we finished on 96 points which everyone of us would have taken in August. We had an unbeaten run that we did genuinely look unbeatable, and I don’t say that lightly. We were brilliant defensively and very efficient in the last third. The Xg against was the best in all 4 divisions. Moore takes credit for that.
It went wrong at Barnsley, but you can pin it on the loss of Windass and Byers. To give credit to Moore, what he did was change the style. He didnt trust the other midfielders with the exception of Bannan and Byers, we became a bit more ale house and I think it did work when we got Pato fully fit. And it was plainly obvious the players were playing for him. You don’t win that second leg, or the final without that.
Moore can and should be criticized for his transfer record, his record with loans and under 27’s is rubbish. He didn’t fully develop other systems although tried to play them with mixed success. He really struggled against better sides when they were on top, and appeared to be outthought at times.
So, we are now looking for another manager for perhaps the wrong reasons. If DC has someone lined up that he feels can get success and will come in his week, it’s not great but it points at a plan. If he hasn’t, and we are going to spend 2-3 weeks recruiting, and then giving the manager 3-4 weeks to assess the squad and style and bring players in, it’s utterly brainless. But, we are an attractive project to a coach if we have money to spend. And we want the owner to learn from an embarrassing series of errors he made last time around.
I hope for the best, I fear the worst and we’ll learn a lot tonight.
There’s a bit from Wembley that has stuck with me since I saw it. Moore and Chansiri have a sort of congratulatory hug/handshake and a few words. Chansiri pulls that face of someone who has just been told “told you so” and is bang to rights.

I found out yesterday, my niece, who’s been a season ticket holder at Hillsborough for most of her 27 years on earth, and her future husband, who’s a staunch dingle, had a fallout post the playoff final for a short while as she was ribbing him a little too much.
🤣Hope you told your nephew to grow up

Been thinking the same. Wouldn’t surprise me if we got them on the Friday night. Think we might be quite popular with Sky early on after the end of last season.

I’ll keep an eye out for that. Any idea what platform? Could always find it elsewhere I suppose.
I’ve never watched Fauda, though seen you mention it before. I will get round to it.
We’ve just started watching Shooter, which is OK. Feels a bit cheap and tacky, not helped by the main character being called Bob Lee Swagger 🤨

Ha funny you say that, always reminds me of David Harbour, who I think has previously been likened to the Rev.

The fuck is that

I watched that a while back. Really enjoyed it, and Jeff Daniels in particular.
Not sure if I’ve mentioned it on here before, but have you seen The Spy on Netflix, AB? It’s Sacha Baron-Cohen as an Israeli spy in Syria.

Ah an open top bin wagon parade

All I can think is it’s to do with segregation which is now changing in anticipation of us getting some of their blocks?
Even then it’s a strange way of doing it rather than just giving us those 1300 plus whatever they were going to start with.
