  1. Wow I mean his statements always cause a stir and he will hit top spot with this one. So to conclude we are fucked.
  2. Yep that all makes sense. As you say it's probably been discussed a few times previously
  3. True - it was a strange one because the old accounts never showed it as a loan, stuck it in other creditors. The issue it creates is that as a rolling loan facility the historic charges are not being satisfied. I sort of get why they are not, seen that elsewhere. The other is the reference to New Avenue Projects Limited, as you look at their accounts there is no outstanding loan in debtors. So not quite sure how it all pieces together.
  4. From Stocksbridge - he used to frequent the Dressing Room section on Stalk
  5. IIRC wasn't this a debt that Mandaric had accumulated and was perhaps not 100% transparent about its origins. As we know if you acquire the shares then you get all the assets and liabilities. I suspect there is a lot more background to this, but simply conjecture on my part
  6. Fuck me I dare not go on Stalk The finance expert S36 OWL- drives a removal van - will be telling everyone the debt is now £26m I will take the word of the professionally regulated audit firm that signed off the disclosure in the 2022 accounts that stated the above.
  7. I am getting some love on Stalk after calling them out on the Maguire twitter feed. Disappointed they haven't ganged up on twitter yet
  8. Slight tangent but in life I am a strong advocate of human rights but that is intertwined with human responsibilities. Taking that down several large degrees, I accept that the fans should have the right to protest, but with a responsibility not to disrupt the players or indeed others enjoyment. To move that on, if you are seeking to get Chansiri out, get our Wednesday back, then for me you cannot pass the responsibility on in finding a new investor. You will not embarass or force DC out of owning the Club. What could work is persuading him that for the Club and indeed his own wellbeing, a change is appropriate. To repeat a point, what actually does he get from owning the Club, what is the motivation, what are the intentions. That is unknown, may never be volunteered by him, but to me is the crucial part of the jigsaw
  9. What I object to in those type of lists is it fails to put the yin with the yang. For example it fails to list any of the decent players acquired. Or in May 2016 - Wednesday got the nearest since 1999 of returning to the Premier League Rather than saying losses of £Xm you could flip and state funds introduced to run the Club by DC. Clearly there are some of the things on the list that are well deserving of criticism. The whole stadium debacle for one where a spend of a couple of grand on a property lawyer would have saved a lot of grief. I refer to it because that time absolutely changed my relationship with SWFC. I grew tired of dragging my arse up the M1 to see performances on the pitch clearly impacted by the piss poor decisions off it. The truism stated on here is that if the team are doing well then the issues DC has created are temporarily parked. If we are not, and where over the summer more are added, I understand where the frustration comes from. Are the protests the right way, probably not, but I guess I understand where they are coming from in seeking change. But you cannot de-stabilise the Club and then leave AN Others to sort the mess.
  10. I think it was Alex Miller I had a twitter conversation with at the time the main accounts were released, asking why they didn't get a local accountant to put their view across. He had quoted Richard Murphy an academic at Sheff Uni and I suggested why get views from a lecturer that never do real life stuff
  11. Thing is I responded similarly to what Chelts did and he acknowledged my point that it was basically the same accounts
  12. Good question I suppose at present its not a Club that is dominated by an owner, his personality and his mood swings and the question as to whom lurks in the background But the Man U fans ask similar Everton fans certainly have questioned it I don't think this mystical rose tinted world really existed but yep you are caught between a rock and a hard place, you want the Club to be competitive on the pitch but would prefer your owners to be decent and understand the fan base
  13. Good to see that Chelts sane post above has been noted on Stalk, not that it stops the "experts" on there Like I have said before, probably on this thread, the fact is the unchallenged shite that gets spouted on Stalk (with a few honourable exceptions that fight a lone battle on there) is like you say this gets spread around other social media channels as "fact" When these "facts" are then used to "pour petrol" to de-stabilise the Club for what ever purpose, then it needs to be challenged somehow
  14. I never hid with the original WTID - but then it was not really a protest group more wanting to ensure the club survived or not fall into unscrupulous hands But some of the group were, and are, well known in the village that is Sheffield's business community so there was a rational for them to be unseen But yep in this case then at least some of the organisers should have the balls to step out
  15. Is that literal - bring a tin of Dulux with you and a brush
  16. Just thought I had best clarify my context of using "gimp" was "in lacking spirit" I appreciate there is another context - which would be totally wrong to use at any time - so accept my apologies if that context was taken Moral of that is not to post early in the morning and check the other definitions of words before ruddy using em #fucktard
  17. Anyway some horrible person 🙈 as referred to "our gimp fans on Owlstalk can stop mithering" No idea who that could be
  18. No these are basically the same accounts we have already seen for SWFC - this is just the holding company which as nothing going on itself, beyond it also owns a Hong Kong company called Sheffield Wednesday (or that ilk) Page 18 is just an occupational hazard - don't trust the computer !
  19. One for us accountant geeks - the software used flags "warnings" about inconsistencies etc. Page 18 is basically one of these warnings and clearly no one actually ran thru each page and spotted it Not that I would ever do something stoopid like that - well not every week anyway
  20. What a top tribute to the fella. A Hull Uni alumni as well and accountant so a path some of us have followed hits home somewhat.
