  1. Club have announces retro kits for sale. https://www.swfc.co.uk/news/2024/april/owls-retro-shirts-available-now/ This season's kits are half price too. https://shop.swfc.co.uk/Home-kit
  2. I honestly don't know how some of these people drag themselves out of bed in a morning.
  3. Can't go that far, as we don't have the college system. They'll just go for making sure that they're all good and making a profit. Going off a league cap with luxury tax could potentially fix football to a certain extent, but it would have to go through the courts and be implemented across Europe.
  4. Just wait till the Americans have the voting majority in the EPL. There will be none of this. They're already after the luxury tax, next will be a soft wage cap based on league TV revenue not individual club income. Then limits on promotion/relegation.
  5. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/what-we-need-danny-rohls-list-of-improvements-for-sheffield-wednesday-has-to-wait-for-now-4582982 Röhl's list for Chansiri on what needs to improve. Personally think this is the actual reason that Röhl and his team were brought in and staying up, although the priority now, will just be a bonus.
  6. Getting any kind of result could have a huge knock on effect in 4 game's time. Norwich and Coventry are on a roll, with West Brom drawing their last 3 games. Norwich dropping points today, with a West Brom win v Rotherham would put them 4/5 points clear of Norwich and still 6/7 clear of Coventry with 12 points to play for if Cov beat Southampton, which is looking likely. By our game, especially with a result for them v Leicester or Coventry drop any points, they are pretty likely to be, if not on the beach, at least in preparation mode for the playoffs, so won't be going full on. A win also tightens the fight between Coventry and Norwich (and Hull if they beat Boro), which makes the 3 Cov, 2 Hull and 1 Norwich games v the bottom few must wins. Any result we get will help us in some way other than just the points on the board.
  7. There are going to be a few seemingly inconsequential results that have a huge effect coming into the last 2-3 games.
  8. Röhl's been trying to replace him since he got here, if Windass or Pedersen had been fit (or Schultz signed), I'd say he'd have been out long ago.
  9. The QPR mascot has been fired for trying it on with female fans.
  10. How embarrassing is it that toytown can pay for a banner taking the piss out of another club, while we have to crowdfund a flag half that size that is supposed to be essential in the battle to save the club from the evil Chansiri?
  11. Think with Xisco it was more wouldn't than couldn't. You could see it in Spain, he had his stuff working on the right, the left with Bannan, Johnson and Windass was a mess as they just did their own thing, leading to the blowout with Johnson when he switched him in one of the games and Delgado having to go over there. You also had the players, Windass and Gregory joking about not doing what the manager wants in interviews. They knew he was on a 19 game thing like Pulis and knew they wouldn't be in his plans once his own players were fit so fucked him. The senior players are as much if not more to blame for this season than Chansiri, Xisco or anyone else and all need fucking off at the earliest opportunity.
  12. With Rohl there should be plenty of young/fringe players who fit the bill. If he's doing it the Redbull (or even Ipswich/Plymouth) way, there will be 2-3 players across the teams who can slot in each position with minimal disruption. So there will be plenty of rotation, especially near the start of the season where it's straight into 2 games per week. Won't be the same handful of players all the time with the plan based around who's starting. The players fit ghe plan not the other way round.
  13. The paint trophy will be a different prospect with Rohl. An actual opportunity for young players who are familiar with the playstyle, with actual rewards in the form of first team football on the table, rather than just fringe players with nothing on the line making up the numbers to give the geriatrics in the first team a rest.
  14. Do you know who's under contract next season from the current u21/u18s?
  15. The only ones playing that it applies to really are Bannan, Palmer, Johnson and Vaulks. Vaulks has come out last week and said he's fighting for his spot and shows it. Bernard doesn't look like staying anyway. So Bannan is finding it hard to captain himself and Marv, as Palmer isn't even starting. Rohl seems to have done everything he can to replace Marvin, so he won't be here anyway, so that leaves Barry finding it hard to captain himself. IfhBannan is still club captain next season, or even still at the club, there's something going seriously wrong.
  16. We've had Josh Windass for the last 4 years, we should be used to it.
  17. Flat track bullies. Get into them and they crumble, look great when they're on top though. DR trying to get them on top early so they don't give up when they get frustrated.
  18. Be in a great position if we stay up without extending anyone else. The only contracted player from before last season is Pato, who is the only one who can't be accused of mugging it off.
  19. The odds of us being in League One this season were massive when the season tickets went on sale last season, promotion was pretty much guaranteed, so there's bound to be a lot more waiting this year.
  20. Funny how every manager who tries getting Bannan and his mates to do something other than roam about and do what they want fails hard. Pulis, Xisco, even DM tried to put him in the 6 in a 4231 and failed because Bannan kept fucking off so we had to change formation. Now Rohl is getting it.
  21. Oh no! A manager isn't bending over backward to make life easy for them so they're having a paddy. I take it they've just found out that DR isn't going to sacrifice his formation and tactics to accommodate our senior players so they've packed in, just like every other manager who jeopardises their cushty jobs. Pulis, Xisco, now Rohl. Half arsed, not doing as the manager dictates, failing. Too much player power in this club and we will never catch up with the others till it's gone.
  22. I think he's here for a full clear out and rebuild, regardless of league position. Looks like he's finally lost his rag with the players, I still maintain that we have a mentality and culture issue, not a quality issue at this club and it won't get better without a full overhaul. On another note, pretty sure Xisco had the u21s and 18s playing the 4141 from preseason that the first team couldn't/wouldn't get working while he was here.
  23. 5k reduction in sales from the start of the season. We still have 4 months and 11 bajillion phases before then. There won't be a massive difference in the end. Relegation a bit lower, stay up a bit higher.
