  1. I assume Wolverhampton Wanderers are going to recall Theo Corbeanu given he was playing as a right wing back when he came on
  2. Great result But boy that should have been more comfortable than a 1 goal win. That deserved a 2 goal result minimum Thanks for the 6 points Milton Keynes. Happy Easter
  3. That was also a lovely strike there Shame it hit the post Not
  4. 5 - Dean Lewington? Wait no Dean Bowditch
  5. One game that hasn't been mentioned yet is Fratton Park 2003, Portsmouths promotion party. Full house, top of the league comfortably, here comes the side bottom of the league and doomed to relegation. Expecting a 4 or 5-0 Portsmouth victory, Bradbury makes it 1-0. Here we go, flood gates opening. Doesn't happen. We actually give them a game. Westwood as a rwb grabs a deserved equaliser. Then as the final seconds approach, Reddy intercepts a free kick - runs clean through and slots the ball past Hislop to stun a Fratton Park crowd. We win the game 2-1 Typical of Wednesday that the next game they draw 0-0 with Grimsby all but relegating the club
  6. And Luhakay Just as Pelupessy was the full guy for dropping Sam Hutchinson
  7. I can Given we decided Joost Van Aken was the best centre half out of 200 defenders we looked at, Dunkley with a broken leg is a great signing. He's had some good games here this season but not enough to renew a contract
  8. We were quite fortunate that he was very loyal to us Burnley made a £5,000,000 bid for Tom Lees as a replacement for Michael Keane when he was sold to Everton. Obviously Chansiri turned it down due to being part of the family, but I remember Lees mentioned the Burnley interest saying it was an honour to be linked to them and a move to the PL, but he owed it to us for saving his career. Little did he know then, that the following season, he'd be having to do 3 defensive jobs in one that season given Carlos playing Reach as a left back and JVA impersonating being a defender. 200 centre backs and that's who we chose?
  9. Given Chey Dunkleys contract expires this year, I'm certain Dean (despite being a similar age) will be his replacement I'll be amazed if we renew Dunkleys contract given the number of times he's been out injured since the broken leg from his Wigan days
  10. Just being a Tory will be enough for them
  11. I went to both England v Scotland games in the play off under Kevin Keegan. We were lucky that Scotland forgot their finishing boots - especially at Wembley when we were very fortunate to lose by the one goal. It was the worst performance I've seen from an England team until Iceland I can't be bothered with the New Zealand football team until they move to the Asia qualifying stage as what Australia did. There really is zero competition against the mighty island nations round here for them. They're always going to qualify for the play off spot and then 99% of the time, will always lose the play off. May as well go into the Asia qualifying and compete there, as well as within the Asia cup.
  12. Fabio Capellos AC Milan team of the early to mid 90s was better in my opinion I'll never forget his side, depleted by injuries faced Johan Cruyffs Barcelona in the European Cup final. They probably put in the best performance in a final that I have ever seen (better than Guardiolas' Barcelona) and won the game 4-0. Tassotti, Baresi, Costacurta, Maldini was probably the dream team defence of all time.
  13. Stats say we had 21 attempts, only 5 on target Wonder how many Gregory or Berahino had of those? Oh that's right, nothing because they were doing all the work to get players into the position required Perhaps had Berahino started, the scoreline may have been different. Criminal we're only playing 1 striker at the start In the end, a points better than nothing but that was thrown away yet again because of the usual nonsense of defending a set piece. We were lucky not to have conceded 2 from set pieces given their free headers they had.
  14. Despite the chances, think they had the best chance of the half with that number 9 missing an absolute sitter from a set piece I hope Mendez Laing makes me eat my words in the second half but I just never see him scoring when he's playing up front.
  15. Seem to recall no one had heard of him until a random article appeared saying Manchester United were interested Think had that article not happened, he wouldn't have gone to Bolton
  16. I saw someone replied about Billsaja but the poster I thought you may be talking about would be found on the Manchester City forum Doesn't mind his alleged football team being beat 7-0 by Manchester City
  17. That Oxford result is pretty handy given Wycombe won comfortably
  18. If that's a red card, then we might as well pack up and go home.
  19. If he does return, his only saving grace is that Westwood is no longer at the club I don't think it has helped his career that he's had to work with managers that are terrified of the oppositions penalty box Luhakays tactics ruined him.
  20. Anyone else had a little smile when Wimbledon tried to hurry us to take a goal kick after we made it 2-1
  21. That's a big win that given Sunderland got their usual injury time winner God knows where they only got 4 mins injury time from
  22. If Scotland get through, I assume the draw against us that sends them back on QTR 1, they'll celebrate as if they've won the competition
  23. We had 22 goalscorers in the 2013/14 season as well
  24. Back after a lengthy absence. Nice to see some familiar names still post on here
