I did wonder about him when their player was sent off for flooring Reda illegally in the 6-0 game. T.v. commentary said McDermott would be furious with his man for getting sent off: that the player knew exactly what he was doing. He wasn't, he was furious that the ref. had sent him off!   Unbelievable.   Not sure if he'd been drinking then or if he needed one!

So many stories about that bloke. 🤣 Apparently he’s massively superstitious and hates the number 17.  When he was Chairman of Cagliari he had all seats with number 17 replaced with 16B.
