KrolMong Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 A friend of mine watched the game with me on Tuesday night. His comment was that he couldn’t understand why Bannan and Windass aren’t playing at much higher levels than they do now. Quote
Skamp Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 He should come on here and see the dogs they both get. Quote
owl4ever1867 Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Bannan ran the show on Tuesday night, simply outstanding. Hopefully his confidence will pick up off the back of that performance & drive us forward. Quote

HoylandOwl Posted September 18, 2022 Author Posted September 18, 2022 Byers and Bannan I thought were very good. Quote
Andyben Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Last week This week utter tripe as a pair, got better when he changed it but still didn't hit a single cross / corner / FK. Appalling delivery, let Neymarv take anything for a leftie and Windass for a rightie Quote
KrolMong Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 I thought Bannan and Byers were the sole reason we got back in the game on Saturday. I agree that Bannan’s set pieces were awful on Sat, but, the key was that in the last 30 mins, he ran the show and Byers mopped up around him. I wouldn’t want to start with those two at the base against the better teams, but, when we are chasing, having Bannan play deeper and prompt is something we can do if we have two strikers and Windass in the team, as he’s got targets to hit, and he still has the best range of passing in the division. I also thought Windass also caused issues after the change in shape. Quote

Andyben Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 That's the problem. Ideally Wed have Windass there with Smith +1 in front but that leaves us weak in the middle, unless we play Byers plus AN Other Quote
