Changes to the U23s

The new EPPP rules now state we now field an u21 side with a maximum of 5 overage players rather than the u23 league.

The rule change is to stave off a genuine concern that lower end Premier League and top end Championship clubs were contemplating leaving the PDL (step down from PL2) and follow the B team set up; and that a potential rival league to PL2 could be set up. There's nothing stopping clubs declassifying their academy's to D status (effectively winding them up) and creating a B team. 

WIth the potential to play up to 6 overage players the EPPP has more or less created it's own B team structure but under it's control. Brentford have already said they'll monitor and may apply to join at a later date.
