owl71
Imagine if we get to the final and we’re playing Wycombe. They will bring 12-15k maximum. How many could we possibly take? 60k? 70k?

owl71
Oh bollocks. Big Wembley pitch and hot weather. A team of big bastard, set piece specialists would be ideal to humiliate.

Anyway, if we play with the poise and determination of today we shouldn't be worry by anyone. That's some result today by the plastic Dons. The Plymouth fans must be gutted. Tank_Owl2,0
I'm personally glad we haven't got drawn against Wycombe. 90mins playing them is bad enough, imagine x2 and maybe extra time. We wont get any more than half the tickets for Wembley IF we make it. I doubt they will have changed the policy on tickets there since we played Dull in 2016. Anyone tempted to start booking travel etc for Wembley. im not going to. I did in 2017 after the first leg. 🙄 Edited April 30, 2022 by Tank_Owl2,

Certainly a weird bastard that one, can’t see him ever managing any other club.
Reesh
Won't hear a bad word about Gareth Ainsworth https://www.sheffieldunited.news/news/i-hate-his-manner-dane-whitehouse-is-still-not-happy-with-gareth-ainsworth/?amp

Dunkley injured from memory but was put on the team sheet Covid completely rampaged through the squad but we still played on. Are you watching Arsenal? It'll be a different Wednesday this time with a defence in place. Those happy meal season ticket holders will be facing a different opposition to the one that travelled in December. I'm more confident facing Sunderland than any of the other sides. Just have to be 3 or 4 goals clear before the 90th minute when they get their usual goal
Tank_Owl2,0
Wednesday: Peacock-Farrell, Palmer, Dunkley (Brennan 28), Johnson, Hunt, Bannan, Dele-Bashiru (Corbeanu 59), Paterson, Wing, Mendez-Laing, Gregory (Adeniran 76) The team isnt quite as threadbare as I recall it being but it was by far our worst performance - that Ive seen this season anyway. The energy levels werent great. As others have said the defence was the weakest part of that team, particularly with Dunkley going off after 28. Dont get me wrong Palmer has done OK as one of the back 3, as per Saturday but if everyone is fully fit he doesnt get in the starting 11 for me. Similarly Johnson has done OK when needs must but as we now know hes so much better as a LWB. Id also have Byers as per now over Wing every day of the week. Byers will go in for any tackle Im not sure Wing did. Sunderland will be pumped up for it but as everyone has said we surely a different prospect now particularly if we can have the likes of Storey, Hutch, Gibson, Dunkley and potentially Dean to pick from. If fit my back 3 would be Storey, Dean (if not fit Hutch) and Gibson
Tank_Owl2,0
I think Sunderland probably had a "good day" as well though, but yes I agree it won't have helped that those that did play weren't 100% ready.
