Reesh Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Won 3-1 at Swansea yesterday. Maybe it's a false dawn but in the pit of despair the first team are showing its nice to see the younger level, mainly filled with local lads producing results, perhaps we have got our house in order better at that age group. Tank_Owl2,0 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 It seems we have some half decent youngsters. Unfortunately we know not many will make it to the big time, but it’s interesting that DR has remarked about having close links to the first team. At the moment it’s understandable! Quote

It's the result of the club change in mindset and personnel as Ty mentioned elsewhere, we are now seen as a place to come to for younger lads that aren't at the top level. Thompson and Holdsworth being very much the driving force for it. Quote
Andyben Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 So this increased good feeling around the younger age groups, can we blame DC for that? 1 Quote

No all bad things however minor are wholly down to DC. Good things are purely accidental and can in no way be attributed the him........ apparently. 2 Quote

Lee Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Great news, success breeds success. The fabric of our club does seem positive and bodes well for the future. Hope we get a gem through, ok we are, at least currently, moving in the right direction but it would be pivitol if we did and got a 10m plus fee for a player, would change the whole landscape. Quote

Played a fair bit for the 18s, very highly rated by us and plenty of other academies up and down the country. U15s and 16s are two very highly thought of age groups 1 Quote
