HoylandOwl Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 Great news after all the crap they went through with that absolute whopper that bought the club. 1 Quote
Tylluan Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 Merging with AFC Bury because they couldn't get a pyramid place. Also 'won' a million quid from the govt levelling up fund to get a safety certificate for Gigg Lane and another half a million from the council to help turn it into a community hub. While I'm happy they've been 'resurrected' clubs like Scunthorpe must be scratching their heads at why they can't get government funding. Getting a million to do up Gigg Lane in order to play 9th tier football would be like Maltby Miners Welfare getting the same to relocate to Millmoor Quote
HoylandOwl Posted May 6, 2023 Author Posted May 6, 2023 Scunny didn’t disappear off the face of the earth. Or haven’t… yet. I hope they don’t. But I know what you’re saying. Quote

Raynaldo Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Droylsden FC have risen from the ashes too. Great little club with good facilities. Have had a fair few trips there in the past & it’s booked in for our next non-league day……now the international breaks are back for us 1 Quote
