Start of day 2

Sussex have fought back well but Yorkshire are in command at Headingley.

Sussex 206/8

Just the 1 more wicket for maximum bowling points & hopefully we can keep Sussex under 250 so they get 0 batting points.

Fisher is pick of the bowlers.

4/69 from 16 overs

Start of day 3 at Headingley......

Yorkshire have just declared on 384/8.

Malan made 92 before being caught & bowled.

Yorkshire gained 3 bonus batting points to go with their maximum bowling points.

Yorkshire lead Sussex by 148 runs.

Yorkshire declaring means Sussex only gain 2 bonus points for their bowling after getting 0 bonus points for batting after being dismissed for 216

Sussex 168/6

Lyth makes the all important break through by having opener Clark caught behind for 58.

Then 2 wickets later Thompson has Carter caught by Moriarty for 58.

Sussex lead Yorkshire by 20 runs - Yorkshire require just 4 wickets to wrap up the Sussex innings & hopefully chase down a very modest total and win the game.

End of day 3

Sussex have fought back well & ended the day on 236/7 - making that a lead off 88 runs over Yorkshire going onto the last day - hopefully the weather will hold up & Yorkshire can knock over the last 3 wickets & then chase down what is needed to gain a well deserved victory.

Sadly as expected the rain has continued to fall & the match has been abandoned.

That's Yorkshires 6th draw in 9 matches this season.

Yorkshire gain 11 points from that match & sit in 6th on 91 points.

Yorkshire's next game is on 25th July at home to Durham in the County Championship.

The weather hasn't been kind to them all season.

Been bloody awful.

Players back on the field & Yorkshire have just lost their 2nd wicket - Hill for 7.

Yorkshire 141/2 - 37 overs

Bean was the first man to go for 46.

Rickleton joins Lyth 74* in the middle

End of day 2.

Durham 106/1

Ex Yorkie Alex Lees has hit an unbeaten 65 to put Durham on the front foot going into day 3.

If we can get an early wicket or 3, then that would put Yorkshire firmly back into the game.

Day 3 abandoned without a ball being bowled today in Scarborough.

The weather/rain has been tough on Yorkshire this season, they have lost a total of 1,425 overs in County Championship Cricket - that is equivalent if just short of 15 full days of cricket, nearly 4 full matches!

Match abandoned as a draw.

That's 7 draws in 10 matches now for Yorkshire.

Yorkshire 7 points - Durham 8 points.

In August there is no County Championship games as the One Day Cup takes over.

Yorkshires 1st game is on Tuesday 1st August vs Kent at Headingley.

After the fun of the Ashes - Yorkshire are in action today at Scarborough against Kent - not Headingley as I previously mentioned.

Yorkshire won the toss & chose to bowl & so far have made the right decision

Kent 44/3

Coad has chipped in with 2 wickets & Hill have just taken Kent's 3rd wicket.
