    My dad took me and my school mate to Stockport in September 1967 when we were both 12 to see Wednesday's second ever League Cup match We won 5-3 (McCalliog 2, Fantham 2, Ritchie) 15,065 Springett (Peter), Quinn, Smith, Mobley, Ellis, Young, Eustace, Fantham, Ritchie, McCalliog, Witham I remember Mobley was down in the programme as Mobberley - presumably because of the nearby village I'll be picking that same mate up tonight

    Out since February with a dislocated shoulder and an operation with 4 pins? The Grand Tour cycle lads (and lasses) dislocate their shoulder, shove it back in (usually themselves) in a minute or two and they’re back up and riding for another three weeks

    My Rotherham season ticket holder mate says: Ogbene Good on his day but very poor final ball. I am not too fussed about him leaving I think we can do better Brooke Norton-Cuffy Talented lad and no doubt will play in Prem league if he continues to progress ,still a bit raw but capable particularly going forward and is comfortable and pretty effective taking people on . Obvious he has been schooled at Arsenal but can overplay at times and defensively a bit naive . He seemed to suit Coventry more than us tbh .

    My sister got married on 23/4/1977 The day we lost 4-0 at Palace - I was gutted I couldn't go to the match - one of only a few I missed that season Man Utd beat L**ds 2-0 in the semi-final at Hillsborough - all the groom's family were Man Utd What about this for a pic

    I used to take this to games on the bus from Rotherham in the late 60s It was used to advertise a big pair of Lucas headlights at the local garage - I painted on the white sleeves The hat and scarf were actually blue not black

    Following the "success" of my 1979/80 promotion pics I thought I would post a few more of my mates pics from the day. He was (and still is) a keen photographer and preferred taking black and white pics to colour because he could develop them himself rather than some trendy fashionable reason July 1976 - Shipp Cup - pre season tourament invented by Cambridge and included Peterborough and Lincoln - we won all three games and therefore THE cup This is the 3-2 home win against Peterborough - 3,275 - Feely, Prenergast, Potts
